Meanwhile, a few miles away in a town called Woodbury, Andrea was beginning to settle into her new life nicely. After the farm was overrun, she had escaped into the forest and was rescued by a woman named Michonne. They spent the entire winter together, moving from place to place, avoiding the Walkers as well as people. It finally came to a head when Andrea became seriously ill in early Spring and needed medical attention. Fortunately for them, they were found by Merle Dixon and the people he was now running with. The leader of the group was known as the governor. The Governor had invited Andrea and Michonne back to their town so Andrea could receive medical attention. Andrea and Michonne accepted though Michonne was hesitant.

After Andrea recovered and spending a few days there, Michonne wanted to leave, but Andrea wanted to stay and give the town a chance. Michonne reluctantly agreed though she felt that there was something off about the town and The Governer. A few weeks went by, and the town was having a party. Andrea was enjoying herself walking around and getting to know the townspeople. As she walked, Philip came up to her and engaged her in a conversation.

“Merle told me you were with him and his brother in their last group.”

“Yeah, we were. We were on a farm, but Walkers overran it,” Andrea informed Philip.

The Governor nodded, and he and Andrea continued to stroll through the town, “Who else was part of this group?”

Andrea began to tell him all about the other people in the group. About Glenn and Maggie, Hershel and Beth, Carol and Sophia, Lori and Carl. Rick and Shane, and Dale and Daryl. She eventually came to Kagome, “There was one other woman in our group,” Andrea said with a sneer.

Philip's brow furrowed. He noticed Andrea's reaction when she started talking about this woman, “Yes?”

“She's a doctor of sorts,” Andrea said.

“What do you mean?” Philip asked.

“Well, before we ended up at the farm, we were at a quarry outside of Atlanta, and Walkers attacked us. My sister was bitten, and Kagome was able to save her from the bite.”

Philip's eyebrows shot up, and he looked at Andrea in wonder. A crazed glint shined in his eyes for a moment that went unnoticed by Andrea. Quickly, Philip composed himself and tried not to show too much interest in his learning information.

“But even though she saved your sister, I get the feeling you don't like her very much.”

Andrea smiled at the Governer, “Am I that obvious?”

Philip gave her a charming smile, “Only a little,” He said with a chuckle.

Andrea sighed, “She may be a good doctor, and she may have some special powers, but she's a terrible person.”

“Oh? How so?”

“Kagome ruined my friend's marriage and stole her husband.”

Philip was surprised to hear that, “She did?”

“Yes, I tried to get the group to kick her out, but Kagome had the entire group fooled that no one believed me.”

Philip didn't believe it either, but he went along with what Andrea was saying anyway, “She must truly be a horrible person.”

“What's worse is that Lori was pregnant,” Andrea informed him.

Philip only hummed as he and Andrea continued to walk. He wasn't interested in the rest of the conversation he and Andrea were having; Philip was only half listening. Philip was thinking about the woman and her strange powers that enabled her to heal the sick. If Philip could find her, he could offer Kagome sanctuary, and then she could heal his daughter Penny. That was the only thing that mattered to him.

While Andrea and Philip were enjoying the celebration, Michonne was investigating the town. She had a bad feeling about the city, and her feelings were rarely wrong. As Michonne looked around, she came across a military truck shot up and had bloodstains on it. Michonne noticed that someone had stripped it of all of its weapons. Michonne decided to break into the Governor's apartment and get her sword back. While she was there, she discovered that he had a secret room where he kept Walkers' heads in fish tanks, and she also found a little girl chained up. After making her discovery, Michonne quickly left and searched the rest of the so-called peaceful town. The more she probed, the more bizarre things she found. Why would they keep a pen full of Walkers so close to the townspeople? Michonne didn't understand it, but she didn't like it. She quickly killed all of the Walkers; then Michonne decided that it was time to leave Woodbury. But before she could get back to her room, she was discovered and was taken to the Governor.

The Governor tried to calm Michonne down and reassure her that nothing was going on in their town, but Michonne didn't buy it. She threatened him with her sword and nicked his neck to prove that she wasn't playing around. After that, Michonne informed Andrea that they needed to leave, but Andrea declined. So, Michonne decided that she would go on her own. What she didn't know was that she was being watched as soon as she left the compound; the Governor ordered Merle and several other men to hunt her down and kill her. He wasn't going to risk anyone finding out about his psychotic tendencies.

I'm sorry this chapter is so short. I'll try to make the next one longer.
