After receiving the fantastic news about Kagome's pregnancy, but also her warning, Rick decided that for now, he would focus on the happiness he felt. The couple left the guard tower and walked back to the prison. Rick wrapped his arm around Kagome's waist and occasionally kissed her head as they walked. They got back to the prison and asked where Carl was. When they found their son, the couple brought him into their cell and sat him down. Carl had Kirara in his arms and waited for his parents to speak, "Carl, your mom and I have something important to tell you," Rick told his son.

Dread filled Carl; he began to think the worst and blurted out, "You're breaking up." Carl stated.

Kagome and Rick looked at Carl, shocked; Kagome kneeled before Carl and hugged him, "No, baby, nothing like that will happen. We wanted you to be the first to know that you will have another brother or sister."

Carl stared at his mother wide-eyed and then looked at Rick, who nodded. Carl smiled brightly and hugged Kagome, "Oh my God, Mom, I'm so happy! I'm going to have another sibling!"

"You don't mind?" Kagome asked, looking Carl in the eyes.

"Hell no! I'm so happy; I know it will be hard, but I will help in any way I can to keep you safe. And I know Kirara will too."

The little Neko nodded and jumped on Kagome's shoulder, and rubbed against her cheek.

"When are we telling the others?" Carl asked.

"At tonight's dinner," Kagome explained.

That night, while the group sat down for their meal, Rick and Kagome announced the pregnancy. Amy and Sophia were the first to hug Kagome and congratulate the little family. The news of a new member of their family thrilled everyone. Kagome and Rick didn't mention the changes that were going on with the Walkers. They didn't want to spoil the happy occasion.

Kagome's pregnancy progressed nicely, especially after Daryl and the others returned with the antibiotics they needed to treat the sick. She didn't have to push herself so hard, much to Rick's relief. Rick wouldn't let Kagome do anything; he worried she would exert herself too much. But everything was fine; Kagome's powers kept her and the baby safe and healthy.

The only thing that worried Kagome was the Earthquakes that were becoming more frequent and the behavior of the Walkers. She also had a feeling that their peace wouldn't last long.

Kagome entered her third trimester, and Rick was over the moon. There wasn't a time that Rick was not hovering over Kagome or had his hand on her belly to feel their child kick. The first time Carl felt his new sibling kick, his face lit up. This pregnancy was different than Lori's. Carl was pissed off at his mother for cheating on his dad, and he resented her. Carl loved his unborn sibling but couldn't stand being near his mother. He spent most of his time with Kagome and his dad.

But now, Carl had time to enjoy feeling his new sibling kick and talking to his mom about what they would name his sibling. Kagome thought, then asked Carl, "What was your grandfather's name, Baby?"

"Dad's dad was named Caleb."

"Then that's what we'll name him if it's a boy," Kagome told her eldest son.

"What if it's another girl?" Carl asked.

Kagome smiled, "I'll let you name her as you did your sister."

Carl thought, "What was your mom's name?"

"Emiko."

Carl smiled, "Then, if it's a girl, we'll name her Emiko Grimes. And I think you should use your brother's middle name if it's a boy."

Kagome teared up and hugged Carl, thanking him for the idea, "Do you think your dad will like the names?"

"He'll love them, Mom."

Kagome hugged her son, and they prepared for the baby's arrival.

While all this was going on, the possessed Governor had convinced a new group that they needed to take the prison of the psychotic people that were living there. He declared that they would be safe there. But what "Philip" wanted was Kagome. He knew she could ruin his plans and wouldn't let it happen again. Everything was going according to his plan; soon, everything would be arranged.

The Governor's new group arrived at the prison. Luck had been on his side when he caught Michonne and Dale. He would use them as a bargaining chip. The invaders pulled up to the prison with a tank, and everyone ran out to meet the new threat The Governor stepped forward and had Dale Michonne and Dale kneel in front of him. At his signal, the tank fired and destroyed one of the guard towers.

Rick was spooning with Kagome in their bed, his hand on her growing belly. When they heard the explosion. Rick and Kagome were instantly awake and rushed outside, though Rick tried to keep Kagome from going.

When the group arrived outside, They were shocked to see a Sherman tank and the Governor standing in the middle of a group of people with Michonne and Dale kneeling in front of them.

"Rick! Come down here. We need to talk," The Governor yelled.

"It's not up to me. There's a council now. They run this place," Rick tried to explain.

"Is

Is Dale on the council? What about Michonne? She on the board, too?"

"I don't make decisions anymore," they repeated.

"You're making the decisions today, Rick. Come down here. Let's...
Let's have that talk."

Rick talked to Daryl in hushed tones, telling him to get the people ready to escape. He knew that they couldn't win against the Governor and the tank. He turned to Kagome and told her to get Judith and get to the bus, "I'm not going to risk you, Judith, and the baby."

Kagome protested, but she saw the desperation in Rick's eyes and agreed. She quickly went inside and packed as many things as possible for Judith and herself. Tyreese helped Kagome carry Judith, and they left the cell block.

By the time they got outside, all hell had broken loose. The Governor decapitated Dale with Michonne's sword, setting off the other to begin firing. It was a war zone outside, and with all the noise, The Walkers began appearing in mass. Kagome screamed for Rick, but he was fighting the Governor and losing. The Governor was about to kill Rick when Michonne stabbed him in the heart. Kagome watched in dread as black smoke escaped Philip's mouth. She had a terrible feeling that whatever that was, it was the source of Philip's evil.

Tyreese and Kagome were suddenly pinned down by all the gunfire, "Go, Kagome, get to the bus; I'll take care of Judith."

Kagome hesitated, but she knew she wouldn't be able to run with her pregnant belly and carry Judith at the same time. Kagome reluctantly agreed and ran towards the bus. But before she could get on, Kirara swept Kagome up, and they escaped. The last thing that Kagome saw was Tyreese running out of the prison, bleeding, but he had Judith, Mika, and Lizzy following him.

After the Governor was killed, Rick went back to the prison to look for his wife and daughter. Carl joined him in the search, but they found Judith's carrier full of blood, and there was no sign of Kagome; father and son assumed the worst. They had no choice but to escape the Walkers, that were arriving in droves. Parts of the prison were engulfed in flames and they had no choice but to abandon it.

Carl helped his dad out of the prison, "Don't look back, Carl, keep moving forward."

And with that, Rick and Carl escaped. He couldn't think of Kagome and Judith right now. He need to get his son to safety; that was his top priority, since he failed to keep Kagome and Judith alive. Rick would give into his sorrow later.

I'M SORRY IT'S SO SHORT BUT I WANTED TO LEAVE THE OTHER STUFF FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER.
