You starred at Roman as he showed you something he claimed was 'amazing'.
"Stairs to the roof?" You asked, looking towards him.
"Yes! It's only for the best out there!", He smiled brightly, taking hold of your hand and dragging you towards the door to the rooftop.
He opened the door, being as dramatic as possible, reveling a beautiful night sky. Stars as far as the eye can see. He looked back at you and smiled.
"So... What do you think?" He asked, hoping you liked the spot.
"It's beautiful tonight. Thank you for taking me out to see Roman" You smiled back, making him turn away.
"Not as beautiful as you. . ." He muttered under his breath.
"Hm?"
"Ah nothing!", He quickly responded, trying to sound as 'casual' as possible.
You walked towards a bench and sat down, tapping the spot next to it twice, implying you wanted Roman to sit with you. He sat down next to you, putting his hand right next to yours.
"I. . . wanted to tell you something Y/n. ." He sighed, 'Now or never' he thought.
"Well, I'm all ears." You turned to him and smiled, giving him your full attention.
He hesitated for a moment. Should he? What if you said no? Would you hate him? All these questions blured his train of thought.
"I . . . I l-"
"Hellooo? Are you guys out there?" A familiar voice calls out.
"Over here Remus!" You called out to him, turning away from Roman.
"Ah, there you are. Uh. Janus needs you.", You nodded in response and got up from your seat.
"Roman? You good? Sorry I have to cut you short.", He nodded, not wanting to say anything.
"Alright. Cmon Remus, lets go see what Janus wants." You said as you walked down the stairs with Remus.

'Why did I stutter? Why didn't I just say it? Why . . Did I hesitate?', All these questions flew around Roman's head. He knew if he didn't tell you soon, someone else would. But he couldn't understand why he had lost confidence. He knew he was just as good as the others, so why did he stop himself?
