Pet Mayhem Part 16 (Patton and Janus)

After putting Logan in bed you went downstairs and made a cup of F/S/D (Fav sugar drink) to give you more energy. "Hey kiddo!" Patton walked over and gave you a hug, you hug back and smile. "Hey Patton, sorry I haven't hung out with you in a while..." He smiled as he lets go, "It's ok kiddo! Me and Janus have something planned and wanted to invite you out!". Him and... Janus!? When did they get on good terms? Eh, you were glad they were on good terms. "Alright. Let me get dressed and I'll come with y'all.", He nodded and ran off to get ready.

After getting dressed in a F/C hoodie, white shirt, and A/C (Any color) jeans, you waited outside for the two boys to get ready. Patton skipped out the house with Janus right behind him. You waved over to them and started walking. "So where are we going exactly..?" You asked. "Oh no where..." Janus smirked as Patton giggled. You couldn't decide if you were scared or excited. As you walked you noticed a pet shop across the street. You smiled, realizing where they were taking you. But as they got closer they walked past it. "Oh..." You whispered, somewhat disappointed. Janus laughed, a genuine laugh and ruffled your hair. "Go inside and have fun." He smiled, you grinned as you and Patton looked at each other and ran in. You and Patton almost immediately ran over to the puppies and started squealing, you jumped over the pen that held all of the doggies, making sure not to step on any dog tails. You noticed a small black dog with brown one brown eye and one blue eye in the corner, wagging it's small tail as he went in circles. A couple passed by and started whispering, "Stupid dog. Why's it so happy? No one even LIKES that cursed thing. I don't even want to consider that a she.", you glared at the woman and she looked back, "How is she cursed?", the woman looked at you and sighed, "That dog bites EVERYTHING. Even the employees. Most dogs don't have two different eyes. The thing is a monster." she spat out. You looked back at the dog and noticed she bowed her head, as if she just got kicked in the stomach. You turned your head back and growled at the lady "Listen here ya little shit. Do you what some of these poor dogs go through? Oh what am I saying of coarse you don't. You act saltier than a fucking salt shaker. Leave the damn dog alone." She shivered as she quickly walked away from you. Patton was still playing with the dog, and Janus was just completely shocked.

You scooted towards the dog as she looked up to you, she ran towards you and jumped into your arms, as if she hadn't had a hug in years. You smiled as you gently pet the dog. You grabbed a chew toy and looked at it, it was a big purple chew toy with bite marks all over it. You threw it as soft as possible as the black dog ran towards it. You didn't understand why that woman made such a big deal out of it. There are plenty of dogs that have two different colored eyes. The dog ran back, waiting for you to throw it again, which you did.

You wanted to go see the other animals but you didn't want to leave the poor dog alone. You wave to the dog as you left the pen. She whimpered as you walked towards the other pets. Walking into a different isle you notice Janus with a giant snake on his shoulder. "There's no way Thomas will let you have that-", "He's not my dad", "Yeah but-", "No buts. I'm getting this snake if it's the last thing I do.", Janus quickly walked off as you just starred him down. 'I-- Alrighty then.', You walked towards the cat pen and noticed a medium sized cat starring at you as you entered the pen. He walked up to you and started rubbing against your leg. He was a white cat with Emerald green eyes. You petted him while the other cats just walked around. You grabbed a remote control mouse toy and turned it on, knowing you wanted to cause some type of trouble. You moved the mouse pad as the mouse zoomed around the pen, grabbing the attention of every cat in the room. Not even 5 seconds later and every cat was chasing it. You made a sharp turn causing two cats to crash into each other. The mouse toy went through a small hole in the pen and went inside the isle. Cats started to spill out of the pen and continue chasing the mouse. The white cat looked up to you, as if saying 'Thank you for getting rid of those idiots' and laid his head back down to take a nap. You noticed all of the employees panicking and trying to catch the cats and put them back into the pen. You quickly sent the mouse back into the pen as all the other cats continued to chase after it, putting themselves back into the cage. You quickly chucked the remote to the side and pretended that you didn't cause the chaos.

You got up and pet the cat one last time. You promised yourself you would visit the two animals everyday until they got adopted. You smiled to yourself as you, Patton, and Janus left the store.
