"Looking for restrictions. Reasons to stay in this town" he pauses "what about you?"
I honestly don't understand, it's the middle of a Florida summer, full of fun and freedom. Why on earth is he searching for restrictions?
"Oh um, well tonight, the guy who threw the party is my best friend so yeah"
George nods slightly
I don't want to bitch and moan to this guy about how much I absolutely hate parties. He'd probably portray me as some annoying weird kid who doesn't shut up.
George's soft voice shakes me from my thoughts.
"I don't know him but word at the party was that his name was like Nicholas or something like that, am I right?" George asks I can feel his eyes on my body but don't bother to look back at him, I keep my eyes focused on the beautiful ocean ahead of me not the beautiful boy beside me. "...Nick yeah" I nod in response.
"So, you're super attractive, great at co-hosting parties, nice, amazing fashion sense and you actually go to parties" He scoffs then continues "I bet the girls are all over you". I feel my face heating up. I don't know what to say? what should I say? the truth I suppose. But what even is the truth?
"I've realised tonight that it's not the girls I want all over me" I say burying my head in between my legs 'okay what the hell, Clay? You don't even know that! It's probably just a phase, just like when you were in love with Harry Styles!'.
George scoffs which then turns to laughter and although I wish I could listen to his laugh everyday I'm immensely confused, why is he laughing at me?
"I guess we're one in the same, huh Clay?"
"Why's that?"
"I'm not a big fan of girls myself".
