"Just a minute!", America yelled from the other side. Usually America would let him right in but this time England rather not question it. He was willing wait. He wanted stall for a bit anyway.
'Wait did I give UK a bottle of Whiskey?!', England came to the realization of what he did in a panic.
"Hey dad", America said opening the door almost on time. It was too on time like someone conveniently planned this to play out using their ability to manipulate this universe or reality (Don't look at me and Dont break the 4th wall) .
"Hey, how are you feeling?", England asked, deciding to push the thought away from his mind. Scotland would most definitely handle it from his impulsive mistakes.
"Good ", America simply asked, waiting for England to just leave. He didn't want to be rude but he was hiding something or more like someone in a certain closet of his.
"Mind if I come in?", England asked wanting to see what took America so long.
"Not at all", America said politely as sweat ran down his forehead.
"What are you doing having a game of chess out?", England playfully asked looking at the little set up.
"Well I was playing with myself since you have been busy lately", America lied.
"Mind if I fill on one side?", England asked, taking one of the seats. He hadn't played in awhile but luckily for him he still remembered all of the rules.
"No I don't mind", America said, taking a seat as well. Hopefully france doesn't do something stupid or sneezes. Then it would be game over for the both of them.
"Well looks like you got 2 extremely similar strategies going on at the same time.", England said as he examined the board.
"Yeah, wanted to see how it would play out", America gave an excuse of why it was that way. He should've put the board away. This looks extremely suspicious.
"Hmmm you could have defeated me with your horse going to the right , but now you can't ", England said as he moved his piece forward.
"How did you know to do that?", America asked, trying to start up conversations so that his father could be distracted by it. It worked.
America quickly glanced at the closet instinctively, another wave of sweat droplets going down his face. Luckily his father didn't catch on. Phew, that was a close call.
"Well, in war and other many competing things, the main thing to win is see the things that your opponent does not. Whether it is a flaw of theirs or a strength of your own , does not matter. What matters is you use it to hour advantage ", England explained.
"So like an element of surprise?", America asked, trying to soak in his Father's wise words, and to distract him.
"Yes exactly that! You are a fast learner my boy", England complimented America.
"Thanks Dad", America said almost forgetting about the boy in his closet.
"Hey, I think I'll go check on your uncle. Mind if I leave for a moment?", England asked America.
"I don't mind dad", America said, mentally thanking the universe and God for his father not noticing anything out of the blue.
"I love you", England said before leaving.
"Love you tooo!", America yelled out. He then waited for the footsteps to trail off into the hallway before speaking up. "You can come out now france", America said with a sense of relief in his voice.
