"hehe good puppy" my son gonta said as he pet our husky saki.

Out of all my children gonta is the one who has the closest relationship with animals. Perhaps it is because he was raised by wolves but nevertheless it makes me happy to know that my child respects animals as much as I do.

"would you like to help daddy feed the other animals gonta" I said slowly since gonta struggled a bit with English.

"gonta would like that" gonta said clapping his hands excitedly.
I smiled at him and took his hand. I then led him down to our adoption kennels.

Most of the animals here were up for adoption but there were a few we kept as pets (after begging my dark Prince over a couple of moons). Those pets were a orange cat named ginger (my dark Prince picked that name), my four dark devas of distruction, a jack Russell named magma, a white terrior named terminator a Tom cat named clover and two rats named zuko and azula (kokichi picked their names)

I finished feeding them and gonta was gleefully hugging our cat clover who had taken a liken to him which was odd since clover didn't seem to like anyone!

I bent down to his level "tell me child what would you like to be when you grow up?"

"hmm gonta think he'd like to be bug expert" gonta replied.

"I see. That's a difficult job for sure but with your knowledge of the animal kingdom I think you'll have no problem pursuing it" I petted his soft fluffy hair.

Gontas red eyes lit up "gonta thanks you father!"

His bright smile made my heart melt a little. I'd consider this one of the greatest rewards of being a parent.
