"Hey, guys!"

Saglit akong bumaling kay Alex ng marinig ang boses niya na bakas ang saya.

They doing a video chats with his friends. Bumalik ang atensyon ko kalsada at nagpokus sa pagmamaneho.

I volunteered to drive since his arms are not yet cured. Kahit hindi niya aminin alam kong mahapdi iyon.

Nakikinig lamang ako sa kanila habang maingat na nagmamaneho pabalik sa condo building.

Pabalik-balik ang tingin ko sa daanan, kay Alex at sa cellphone niyang nakapatong sa dashboard ng sasakyan habang nakikipag-video call sa mga kaibigan.

"Hey, Manzano. Please get my car. I left it since my girlfriends abruptly dragged me out there." he said as I rapidly glanced at him and stared at him snappily.

"What?" I snapped at him.

He just looked back at me as he winked. Gumapang ang kamay niya patungo sa hita ko at marahang hinaplos iyon bago muling ibinalik ang tingin sa camera.

"Sure, dude. No worries." I heard Luke respond."By the way, congrats. You did it again,"

"You have a girlfriend now, Humilton?!"

"Oh fuck dude, are you serious?!"

Napakagat ako ng labi at pilit siniseryoso ang ekspresyon ng mukha nang marinig ko ang malakas na tumawa na si Luke kasabay ng pag-halakhak ni Alex sa tabi ko.

"Yeah, he had. I already met Shan the last time we went to his house." said Luke.

"You mean the pretty and sexy Shan?! That car racer?!"

I flickered as I slowly turned the right way while driving the car when I heard the voice in a bit of a surprising tone.

I heard Alex chuckling but I didn't bother to glimpse at him, I felt like I'm blushing right now.

"Yeah, we've been together just last week,"

"Weeks ago mula ng magkita kayo tapos kayo na? Damn. You're too fast Humilton!"

"Why? Do you have a problem with that?!" Alex said with his cold voice.

Nakaramdam ako ng tensyon sa pagitan ng usapan nila kaya lumingon ako kay Alex na unti-unting nagiging seryoso ang mukha.

I know he has a trust issue with his friend when it comes to relationships so I immediately held his arms and it made him look at me.

I slightly smiled at him as I pinched his arm before I focused back on driving.

"Nah, I'm just planning to be her suitor her the last time I saw her in Trevious son's kid's party-"

"Then back off now, Troy. She's already mine!" matigas na sinabi ni Alex kaya ngumuso ako upang pigilan ang nag-aambang ngiti sa labi.

Napasilip ako sa screen ng cellphone ng marinig ang panibagong boses. Lumingon si Alex sa akin at tinaasan ako ng kilay kaya napalihis ang ulo ko.

"Hey, Jorus. Alexander finally had a girlfriend!" it was Luke's voice.

"Is he serious now?"

Naglapat ang labi ko habang nakatuon ang atensyon sa kalsada pero nasa usapan ang pandinig.
