Taylor frantically paced up and down the halls of her Cornelia Street apartment. Her stomach was practically in her throat and she felt like she was on the verge of throwing up. Taylor wasn't sure why she was so nervous. It was ridiculous quite honestly. All of this pinned up anxiety just because Joe was coming over.

God, Taylor, calm your tits. There's no need to be this stressed out about a random ass guy coming over to your apartment. You've literally performed in front of sold-out stadiums. You shouldn't feel like you're gonna crap your pants because Joe freaking Alwyn is paying you a visit.

Biting her lip, Taylor glanced down at her phone to check the time. 3:13 PM. He would be here any minute.

Because she was neurotic and had been stood-up on numerous occasions, Taylor scrolled back to her previous text messages with Joe. She wanted to double check that he was in fact coming over at 3:15 PM.

Just as Taylor exited the iMessage app, the chime of the doorbell filled the house. 3:15 PM. He was right on time.

Slightly flustered, Taylor glanced at her reflection in the mirror one last time, before jogging over to the front door. As sweaty as her palms were, she somehow managed to twist the door knob open.

"Hi," she squeaked.

"Hi," Joe breathed back. He was bearing a boyish grin and was sporting his typical ensemble of medium wash jeans, a loose-fitting t-shirt, and black Nikes. He looked dashing. So dashing that Taylor thought she might combust.

"Please, come in," she croaked, ushering Joe inside.

"Thanks," he mumbled.

Much to Taylor's delight the air between her and Joe seemed warm thus far. There was no icy silence or jaded undertone. It was rather surprising to her. Whenever she and Adam had gone a few days without communicating, an iciness had always seemed to linger a few days after the matter.
