Taylor crumples the lace material into a ball and throws it into the depths of her closet. She's so fucking mad right now that she could burn it. Just grab a matchstick and fucking light the dress on fire. But she won't because she's not actually that insane. As angry as she is, she's still the rational one. He'll forever be the hotheaded lunatic. And she's fine with that. Surely his heat and her iciness have to balance each other out if they've made it this long.

Still, Taylor can't believe that this beautiful Dolce&Gabbana dress has gone to waste. What's the point of buying a new outfit and starving yourself for a dinner date that's just gonna get canceled? Taylor wouldn't have even minded if the same thing hadn't fucking happened just two weeks ago. If he hadn't thrown another goddamn tantrum about the fucking Met Gala. All of this fighting and penned-up anger is getting to her. And it sucks because it wasn't always like this. There were days where Taylor would pick out a new dress and skip lunch and he'd come to her house on time and take her out to Nobu and they'd whisper nice things to each other and drive back to his place and have sex on his $750,000 couch.

Taylor knew that love wasn't always going to be rainbows and sunshine but she never expected things to suddenly get so bleak. But perhaps that's just how adult relationships go. It's just fucking hard sometimes to let go of the hopeless romantic in her, the Hugh Grant obsessed Romeo & Juliet aficionado in her, and accept that with loves comes misery.

Sighing, Taylor makes her way downstairs to open the front door. Lily's here to retrieve the stuffed giraffe that Dixie accidentally left behind when she slept over the other night. The poor toddler is unable to fall asleep without her favorite stuffed animal.

"I have Gerard," Taylor says, handing the plush toy to her friend.

"Oh my God, you are a lifesaver!" Lily gasps. "Seriously, you have no idea. It's literally hell on Earth to get Dixie to go to bed without him. You'll understand when you have kids."

Taylor smiles meekly, still sour from her recent text exchange with Adam. She feels a knot she didn't even know she had tighten at the mention of kids. Ha! As if Taylor Swift™ could have children. The mere thought of her popping out babies feels foreign. So foreign that she can't even think about it for much longer.

"You can come in and stay for a bit if you want," Taylor sighs.

"Oh, thanks, but that's okay. I don't want to make you late for your dinner with Adam," Lily says, stuffing Gerard into her massive Louis Vuitton tote.

Taylor feels another jab at her insides. "He double-booked," she grunts, too tired to even cover up her disappointment.

"Aww, T, I'm so sorry," Lily mouths wrapping an arm around the newly bleached blonde. "That sucks."
