I Looked Up At The Sky From Where I Was In The Trees

The Sky Looked Darker And The Stars Moved

Seemed To Be A Little Past 9

Three Hours Since The Team Left

Within Those Three Hours, I Was Pondering On What To Do Next

Should I Go Back?

Should I Stay?

Or Should I Go Further?

One Thing I Was Sure About Is That I Needed To Pick One

I Didn't Feel Like Going Back Due To How I Acted

I Would Feel Embarressed

And That I Couldn't Stay In This Tree Forever

So I Guess That Led To Last Option

Go Further

And So While Weighing The Pros And Cons, I Realized That I Practically Had Nothing Left To Lose

And So With A Sigh, I Climbed Down The Tree

I Been In That Tree For So Long It Took Some Time To Feel Familiar With The Soft Ground Beneath Me

I Trekked Deeper Into The Forest, Flinching At Every Animal Sound I Heard

I Traveled Through These Forests Before, But Never Alone

I Kept My Head Down, Arms Crossed In Front Of My Chest

The Only Sounds Were The Rustling Of Leaves And The Hooting Of Owls

But In The Small Amount Of Sounds, A Sound Stuck Out To Me

Crying?

I Lifted My Head Up As I Heard The Quiet Crys Of A Girl

My Mood Changed As If A Switch Was Flipped Inside Of Me

I Pushed Away All Feelings Of Guilt And Replaced It With What I Had Left Of My Old Self

I Ran Towards The Sound And The Crying Grew Louder With Every Step I Took

I Stopped As I Saw The Dark Outline Of A Girl Shaking, And Sobbing

I Didn't Want To Frighten Her Because That Would Be Really Bad For My Self Esteem So, I Announced My Presence With A Fire Ball, Warmly Lighting Up The Area

Hopefully It Wasn't Too Bright

I Saw The Outline Move, Shaking Much Less Than Before

The Outline Got Up, Using A Tree For Balance

"H-Hello?" She Said, A Hint A Fear In Her Quiet Soft Voice

"Hey There" I Said Softly

She Walked Towards Me, Well Technically Towards The Light Of My Fireball, But She Walked Towards Me
