summary: a friend group of 12 very diverse people are having a basement party at the main protagonist's house when they all have a sip of an energy drink (from different cans) and pass out right there, the next morning they all wake up with strange powers such as telekinesis, mind reading, electric hands, etc
however they aren't all discovered at once, some happened when they woke up, some were when they got home and some even took a couple days.
notes:
this idea for me was very fun and fresh, i started thinking about it late at night and then only remembered bits so i decided to just put it on the shop instead of writing it because i have too many of my own projects going on right now.
my original idea of this was to have these 12 people in a party or some other location that is private as long as it's just those 12 people around, and they're all having a good time, some get along with each other, some don't and some haven't really met all that well, these 12 people all know the main protagonist well, some more then others and she/he/they arranged this event.
and long story short; they take a sip of an energy drink of a drink from a punch bowl, all end up passing out and then when they wake up they have no recollection of the event and wake up feeling really weird
they soon come to find out that they have these weird abilities like being able to read people or even moving things without touching them which makes them freak out so they decide as a group to find out who did this to them and they start by tracking the company of said drink, but they have to remain low profile because they're scared of what could happen if people knew
and then somewhere down the road it gets revealed to them that they were drugged by someone who requires their help with several 'missions'
that's when they get discovered by the same person that drugged them, and they then make this secret underground operative group that protects their town with issues from people who are trying to catch them to run tests to see what the hell made them like this, they are called 'the dozen'
