I am running away today, I called my friend Katherine and she told me that I could stay with her in New York for as long as I want to. I am driving my way to her house around noon today, she even has a job for me in her clothing store as the new manager.
By the time I get to my car I see my mom, dad and bro-, i mean Anthony walking my way.
“Hello sweetheart….Where are you going with your luggage?” my dad asks. “ I-I…. Uh, i am going to be away for a few days, but I’ll be back I swear” I said while stuttering. This made Antony look at me with hate in his eyes “ what do you mean by that… since when do you make your own decision? who do you think you are little girl?” anthony scream at me. this event made my mom and dad pushed him away from me since he was almost in my face. “ can you calm down? what the hell is wrong with you? “ mom said. “ yes, its not like she ain’t an adult, the only ones that should be concern are your mother and I, but like i said she is AN ADULT for god’s sake” i dad fumed at him while pushing anthony’s chest.
“ Let’s go all inside i am not going to have this conversation in the middle of the streets” Anthony said. We all walked to my apartment after i put my luggage inside the car. “ ok, now can i know what the hell is going on between the two of you?” my mom asked. “ nothing mom, we-” I cut him off right away. I couldn’t keep this inside anymore. I needed to tell them what’s going on. I covered my face and said “ the problem its that he has been raping me since i was 14 and he keeps doing it whenever and wherever he wants” I was crying so hard but it wasn't sad tears, don't get me wrong though. I felt relieved, i was finally starting to be free again.The look on my mom’s face was unbelievable. Then something i was not expecting happened…. she fainted….
