"It's really hot. Why did we have to go today?" Nesta sighed.

"It's half-off!" Elain countered. "Maybe there will be hot guys. Maybe you can finally hold a relationship Nes!"

Nesta's face slackened. "I don't know why you have these random fantasies for us Elain, jesus christ! Hot guys can not seriously be your reasoning!"

Elain turned away mumbling something that sounded a lot like 'why do you care'.

Feyre sighed. She didn't know how she was going to tolerate spending a whole day with her two sisters if they continued arguing like this.

"Right guys come on—here Elain hold this bag!" Feyre yelled at her sisters.

Elain caught up and she passed the bag that contained their lunch and a ton of snacks.

Their flip flops slapped the cement ground as they trudged up towards the sand. Feyre stepped out of her flips flops, picking them up with her free hand, and sinking her feet into the sand. Nesta followed, flinching at the heat, and Elain kept her flip flops on as they scouted for a good spot at the beach.

They chose a spot a few meters away from the water, and started taking out there beach supplies. They set up a small beach tent, three beach chairs, a couple towels, a beach blanket, and an umbrella like stand for shade.

Elain took off into the water with her phone and waterproof case, probably wanting to take some pictures in the water for her instagram.

Nesta sighed, claiming her spot on the beach towel. She flipped over, her back facing towards the sun. Feyre figured Nesta would probably be out in about ten minutes.

Feyre pulled the hair tie from her hair, letting it fall loose. She tied her wrap skirt around her hips, and set off for a walk along the beach.

Rhysand pushed down on a little girls chest as she coughed up a ton of water, sand lacing through her hair. She rose onto her elbows, and he patted her back as she coughed up the last bit of water.

The she broke into tears screaming for her mother.

Rhys looked around, noticing a woman running towards them. He hoisted the little girl—who looked to be about five—into his arms, rising from the sand. He walked towards the woman, the child bunching up his lifeguard shirt in her hands, like she was holding onto it for dear life.

"Thank you!" the woman praised him as she took her child back into her arms, calming her down.

"It's my job." Rhys replied turning his lips slightly upwards before he ran back to his chair, his whistle moving against his chest.

Before reaching his chair, he took a slow look over his area of the beach. His eyes snagged on a woman walking out of the water. His mouth nearly dropped. She had lighter brown hair, pale skin, eyes with a shine on them, and holy shit that body—she was just so whole over beautiful. His breath caught in his throat for a second as his gaze snagged on her leg.

"Fuck." Rhys whispered before running to the woman.

Feyre was far away from her sisters now, they were probably arguing yet again. The sand reached the creases between her toes as she walked beside the water. The wing blew against her face, and she was thinking about the show she started earlier. It was called game of thrones. Feyre was six episodes in, and she had watched a character she hated die. It was great. Feyre twisted a sliver of her fabric beach wrap around her finger.
