Leona was in jeans, a hoodie and Fred's scarf as she sat down by the Black Lake, a little nook overlooking the shore, her back against a tree as she sighed.

And she let out a scream.

The scream took everything out of her as it sent a tidal wave crashing across the lake, the water forced forward by the power of her scream.

And as she heaved, catching her breath as she watched the wave roll, a few creatures breaking the surface as the wave rolled over them, the twigs near her snapped, making her flinch as she readied her hands.

She and the twins had used some of the secret passageways to help her learn how to use her wandless powers during their free periods and sometimes even late at night. The large passageways, especially the one that had caved in, made for a decent training space away from prying eyes. And Leona had gotten pretty damn good at it.

But all that emerged from the bushes was a shaggy black dog.

Its eyes.

Its eyes seemed so familiar as she slowly lowered her hands, the dog hesitantly padding over to her.

It sniffed at her before moving even closer and Leona reached out a hand, the dog moving forward to place its snout against her palm.

She scratched behind its ears, a small smile on her lips before it moved.

Moved to lie down and place its head on her lap.

"Comfortable, are you?" she asked as she leaned back against the tree.

It whined happily which Leona took as a yes before she shook her head, continuing to stroke its fur and gaze out at the lake, snow still falling around them.

"So, you're not cold now, but you were before when Georgie and I dunked you in the snow?" came a voice and Leona turned to where Fred stood a few steps away from her, a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.

"Magic is a wonderous thing, Freddy," she smirked, the heating charm she'd placed on herself wandlessly, keeping her very warm.

Fred then moved to come closer, but the dog growled at him, making him freeze in place.

"Shhh," Leona hushed as she stroked it, before placing a heating charm on the animal, it seeming to relax instantly as it laid its head back down. "That's better, isn't it?" she said softly, stroking its back.

"Where did that thing come from?" Fred asked as he approached slowly.

"Be nice. It's a stray," she defended as she petted it, before pulling Fred down to sit next to her, the boy wrapping the blanket around them both as she rested her head on his shoulder and sighed.

"He had no right to say that. I told him so. The little git -"

"Freddy, calm down," Leona soothed as she tightened the arm around his torso, still petting the dog.

"How are you so calm?"

"Oh, I was furious. The Black Lake took the brunt of my rage though. And Harry doesn't know the full story. He doesn't know that my father is innocent. I don't even know who told him about my dad being his godfather. So yes, Harry was a git, but he doesn't know."

Fred sighed.

"Are you alright?"

"I'm better now," she answered with a sheepish smile as she snuggled into his chest, Fred wrapping the blanket tighter around them as he smiled down at her, before gazing out at the Lake.

"Hey, Freddy?"

"Yeah?" Fred asked, looking down at Leona who'd looked up at him.

"I love you."

Fred's lips were soft on hers.

"I love you more."

And with content smiles on their faces, Leona snuggled more into Fred, eyes closed on his chest as his head rested on hers, pressing a kiss to her hair.

They were in love.

And they were happy.

And as Leona stroked his fur, so was Sirius Black.
