"I know I will be dead long before you read this, but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more.

R.A.B"  Hermione read as she stood with Harry in the Astronomy tower, Ron sitting a little bit behind them. "R. A.B?" she asked.

"Don't know. Whoever they are they have the real Horcrux. Which meant that everything was a waste. All of it," Harry sighed heavily as he folded the small letter back up and put it back inside the locket.

"Surely, Lena could help?" Hermione suggested and Harry grew tense. "Harry, she's your sister. And you know that if Dumbledore asked her to leave while he put you in a body bind, then it was for a reason. You should talk to her."

Harry sighed.

"Not bloody likely to get any answers though," he said as Hermione furrowed her brows.

"Why not?" Hermione asked and Harry only pulled out another letter.

Dear Harry,

I know you probably don't trust me right now, and I want nothing more than to explain everything to you, only I cannot. The plan I had in place with Dumbledore is something you can't know about just yet. But he was going to die anyways Harry. The curse he contracted from wearing Tom Riddle's ring was going to kill him. At least this way he died on his own terms.

I promise you that I did this to protect you.

And I promise that I will explain everything one day when this is all over. And know that I am still and will always be here to help you, no matter what you think of me.

I'm sorry I had to do that and that you had to see that Harry, but it will all make sense soon.

I hope you can believe me, and even find it in your heart to forgive me.

I'm still your family Harry.

All my love,

Leona Black.

"Leona Black," Hermione muttered as she finished reading the letter, something clicking in her head. "LB. RLB. Do you think RAB could be a Black? Someone in Lena's family?"

Harry seemed surprised as he considered it.

"I don't know. Maybe. But we're still getting back on speaking terms, I don't want to bother her with this," Harry said finally.

"Harry she could help. She might know something," Hermione persisted as she handed the letter back.

"I'll ask her. Eventually. Let's just enjoy the summer first, we're going to need it for what's to come," he said as he gazed out at the Lake and Ron came up behind them. "I've never really noticed how beautiful this view is."

Hermione and Ron only smiled at him as they joined him at the rail, gazing out at the horizon.

A horizon where war was brewing.

And deep down they knew that not everyone was going to make it out.
