Barty Crouch was dead.
He was dead but the Tournament still continued.
The last task was a giant maze, the Cup placed somewhere inside of it and the first to touch it would be the winner.
Seeing as Harry and Cedric were tied for first place, they entered first followed by Krum and Fleur.
But no one was ready for what happened when the people who first touched the cup appeared where they had started.
The second they'd appeared Leona knew something was wrong.
Harry was crying over Cedric's body as the Cup lay discarded, and only then did the music stop as they realised what had happened.
And Leona would never forget the sound of Amos' screams as he learned that his son had been killed.
And what was worse, Harry had cried out that Voldemort was back. That he was the one that killed Cedric.
Dumbledore had then dismissed all the students, the Weasley's lingering to stay near their father, but Leona couldn't move.
"Lena? You ok?" Fred asked as he noted how rigid she'd gone.
"My dad. I need to talk to my dad. I need my dad. I need to make sure he's ok," she panicked as both twins held her still, sitting her down.
"Lena it's alright. Your dad is alright, I promise you," George said.
"Rosalee take a breath. You need to breathe. Come on, Rosalee, breathe," Fred urged but Leona was still struggling to breathe as her panic attack grew worse.
"Kiss her," came Hermione's voice as she approached the trio with Ginny by her side.
"What?" the twins asked in confusion.
"She's having a panic attack and needs to hold her breath you idiot, just kiss her!"
And Fred put his lips on Leona's, Leona who had completely tuned out of the conversation as she struggled to breathe.
So, when Fred kissed her, she focused on that, of the feeling of his lips as they moulded with hers before they eventually parted, and her breathing had begun to slow as she clutched Fred like a lifeline.
"What happened?" Ginny asked as she sat by Leona's feet, a hand on the girl's ankle as she stayed curled into Fred's side.
"Everything," Fred answered. "Harry in the Tournament, Cedric dying, Voldemort. Not to mention how worried she is about her father."
"Well, send him an owl, see what he says. As for right now, she needs lots of water and a nap would do her a world of good," Hermione instructed.
"Freddy?" Ginny said, a silent ask if he needed help.
"I got her," he said as he scooped up a trembling Leona who appeared as if she was freezing as George shed his jacket and wrapped it around her as Fred took her back to the castle, pressing a tender kiss to her forehead.
He needed her to be alright.
