24-Meeting Payts Mother

"Hey Baby, calm down" i say and nuzzle the hairs in his neck "I'm so sorry for this Elle" Payton whispers in between sobs, it's his 2nd time breaking down "she doesn't deserve you" i say and kiss one of his tears away. "hey kids, dinners ready" a female voice says outside the door "we'll be there in 2 minutes" Payton manages to say without sobbing "alright, dry your tears and take a deep breath" i say and brush his hair away from his face.

we walk to dinner hand in hand and I sit down beside Payton with Hailey on the other side "Payton what have I told you about wearing a shirt when we eat" Mr. Moormeier says "sorry" Payton says "don't worry, I can go get one for you" i say and get up, I go to his room and find the weird shirt I found online, it's a black muscle shirt with an image of me and Payton on the front. i bring it out and receives a laugh from Ms. Moormeier "here" i say and grin "whats that?" Payton asks and put it on "I found it online" i say and sit down "So Elle, where are you from?" The woman I assume being Paytons mother asks "I'm from the wolfhill orphanage" i say "oh so you're an orphan, do you know anything about your real parents" "no, I got dropped off at the orphanage when I was 3 months old" i say, I feel Paytons hand snaking up my leg and lands on the middle of my thigh, his thumb slowly rubbing the side.

we just sit and eat and Payton dont let go of my leg at any time. i get to know Payts parents pretty good and the shirt looked so good on Payton.

after dinner I help Faith with doing the dishes before joining Payton and Hailey on the couch. Payton is in a light sleep but Hailey is fighting to stay awake "hey Hailey, should we go get you ready for bed?" I ask and she nod, I pick her up and walk to the bathroom "which toothbrush is yours?" I ask "the pink one with glitter" she says, after brushing her teeth she finds her pj and put it on herself "wanna go say goodnight to mommy?" I ask, she just nods cause she's almost asleep in my arms "thank you so much Elle, I actually told Payton to put her to sleep but I guess he fell asleep himself" she says "yeah, here you go, goodnight Haley" i say and hand Hailey over to her mom.

then I go back to the living room and lay down with my head in Paytons lap. "what do you wanna watch?" I ask waking him up "whatever you want" he says and rub his tired eyes "maybe we should go to your room?" I say and get up, we walk into his room and I flop onto the bed, Payton locks the door before laying down beside me "why did you lock the door?" I ask "Hailey loves to burst in and jump in the bed whenever she's here" he replies and takes off his pants. i take off my clothes and change to a comfortable pair of shorts and a loose top.

"I'm just gonna call my dad real quick and then I'll be back" I say and run to his bathroom.

after he hung up I went back to Payts room to see him deep asleep.
