Chapter 2

"Sana could be my opponent from you huh" She continued glared at me and I laughed at her

"I don't give you the permission, you promised to marry me when we were young" She looked at me

"Yah! that's so long ago, I don't believe that you had no lovers this past years I was gone" I told her

"No. I didn't, you were the only one I find attractive this past years until today" She blatantly told me and my heart jumped unexpectedly.

"Yah don't joke around. I might actually think you're serious" I said and laughed it off but she stayed silent which made it awkward but fortunately we arrived at the café short after.

"We are here" she tapped me and showed me her warmest smile.

I went to get my bag from the back compartment and as soon as I lift my head I saw my Mom and Elkie waiting at the doorstep with a banner and a party popper. As soon as I carried my luggage in front of them she shouted welcome back and I wasn't that amused but still gave them a big smile.

"Let's take a picture" My mom told me and went beside me

"Yah Shuhua come here, you should be with us not the one taking a picture"  My mom told her and she smiled

My mom went inside and asked one of the customers a favor to take a picture of us

I was in between my Mom and Shuhua, next to her is Elkie. All of us smiled brightly 

*Fast Forward to 3 years*

I was catering a customer when she suddenly shouted at me.

My patience could only handle enough, I was starting to get pissed off as I continue to hear the continuous shouting of the customer.

I had my limit, I was about to talk back but a hand stopped me. She hid me in her back and talked to the customer instead, after some time the scene ended.

She pulled me to the staff room

"You were about to talk back at the customer, care to explain?" Shuhua glared at me

"Yeah I'm sorry but the customer was being a bitch" I rolled my eyes as I remember it.

"This the 5th time you were about to fight with a customer, thankfully I'm there to stop you" she said with her hands on her waist. I could imagine smoke from her head because of frustration

"Yes, manager. Your staff would do great next time" I said and hugged her to ease her anger to me

"Not on our workplace!" Shuhua silently shouted

"Nobody is around" I smiled at her and she sighed in defeat.

She turned her back on me and went out

"When I first came home, I went in vacation for a year but then I shouldn't be on vacation all the time so I decided to work and help my mom's café. Yeah, I thought I would be in a high position but well, I'm a waitress. I complained but my mom said to work my ass hard so I could get a higher position. While I was working as a waitress Shuhua was promoted as a manager so I'm currently under the hierarchy. I work hard though but my anger just couldn't handle different customers so, I'm stuck being a waitress until I learn to have patience, more like until Shuhua approves my progress."

The day is finally over and I closed our store to clean up while Shuhua is counting the cash.

"It's your payday tomorrow, are you still not getting your pay?" Shuhua asked me even if she is busy in the counter

"Nah, just put it on the safe as usual" I said as I finished cleaning the last table but she isn't finish yet so I came to her aid

"Want any help?" I asked her but she shook her head, so I was left their staring at her.

"Do you have any plan to go back to korea? So you could pursue what you like" she started the conversation

"Nope, no plans at all. I can pursue my dream here which is obviously why I'm saving up money" I explained

"Why didn't you take a course on the medical field? So, you could have just became a doctor on one of your dad's hospital franchise" she asked as I saw her counting the last bundle of cash

"Just not my cup of tea, fashion designing is. I actually wanna look up a job inclined with my course but, nobody's gonna replace me so I removed the thought." I told her and she looked at me

"If you want to pursue the work inclined with your course do so, so that you won't regret. I can make the cafe function well without you so don't worry about it" she smirked at me

"Wow you just made it sound like I'm not needed here" I rolled my eyes on her and she laughed at me

"Nah let me be with you so I could save money, but can we talk about my schedule? I plan on taking a part time job in a freshly built fashion company near here" I told her and we sat on one of the chair

"Yah okay when are you starting?" She asked me

"Tomorrow" I tried not looking at her

She sighed

"Okay then, what time slot did you get there?"

"The night.. so I wouldn't be able to help you with the clean up, this will be the last" I told her and she nodded silently while thinking

"Alright, then you take the afternoon shift here, but your salary in here will lessen by 5 percent, is that okay for you?" She asked me and I nodded excitedly

"Alright now thats done let's go home" we both stood up and got our bag as we walked the street to our condominium

Well, yes we are currently roommates because my mother kept pushing Shuhua to live with me as there is a spare bedroom on my condo
