Chapter 37 (Present)

After the class, Sunoo goes home and immediately texts Jay.

"Jay, Are you okay? Why are you absent?"
Sunoo texted.

Still no replies.

He waited for an hour but still there wasn't any response from him.

So he decided to go at his place.

He hurriedly picks out a clothes and rides a jeep.

"Dum? Dum? Are you there?" Sunoo said.

Jay then opens up the door.

"Why are you here Sunoo?" Jay said.

The way Jay called him Sunoo and not Bub.

"You look sick, why are you not responding to my messages?" Sunoo said.

Sunoo then checks Jay's temperature.

And it turns out he's also sick.

Sunoo just thought internally how he just took care of Sunghoon and now Jay's also sick.

"Did you take your meds?" Sunoo said.

"Why do you care Sunoo?" Jay said.

"Because I like you?" Sunoo replied.

"You like me? You sure you like me?" Jay said.

Jay added "You stood me up yesterday. I was waiting for you in the rain. That's the reason why I got sick and missed my report.
How do you think I should feel? Should I feel okay because you're taking care of your ex?Should I be happy because you're doing a humanitarian favor?"

"Jay, It wasn't like that. He was sick. No one is there for him." Sunoo said.

"And who's there for me? No one but myself because you were there with him." Jay cried while saying this.

"I was about to ask you officially Bub. I was about to. You can't imagine how deep the pain I felt knowing I was treated like an option. A second rate. Always the second one never the first." Jay said.

Sunoo just couldn't help but to shed tears about this.

He now knows how his actions have affected Jay.
He knew already that Jay has his Insecurities and his actions just made it worst for him.

He could only listen to his rants.
He doesn't wanna lose Jay.
He is already sure that he likes Jay.

"Sunoo, I was insecure of him. You knew that well. He is rich, he's got good looks, he's famous, he's also smart. Everything you can find in a guy. Compared to me. I'm like an average Sunoo. I am not rich. I cannot provide you with fancy dates. I cannot give you what you want every time. It clearly shows who's got the edge." Jay said.

"That time you went to the Zoo. I waited for you in 3:00 pm with a set of Uniform.
I never cared that you were late but it breaks my heart knowing Sunghoon gave you something I should've given first." Jay said.

"You never told me Jay. I would've accepted your surprise." Sunoo replied.

"I can't do that Sunoo. My insecurities are killing me. I can't let my pride get trampled like that. I don't wanna act like I'm petty" Jay said.

"Do you think I deserve this Sunoo? Can you just please tell me that you're going to leave me for Sunghoon. I want all the pain right now. I don't think I can handle being a second anymore."

Sunoo just stopped thinking for a moment.

The reality just hits him in how he broke Jay's heart.

Unintentionally or not, Sunoo should've think how his actions could affect Jay.

"I can't Dum. I love you already. I'm sorry If I made your insecurities worst through my actions. It was never my intention. I should've paid attention to you, to us. I never intended to make you an option Dum. I never saw you as second in my heart. When Sunghoon left. There's no one but you." Sunoo said emotionally.

Jay just wiped his tears.

"Sorry Sunoo, I can't do this today. Can I have 1 week space." Jay said.

"Sure Dum. I'll give you a week to calm your mind. But please don't give up on me. I don't think I can handle you leaving me." Sunoo pleaded.

Sunoo then placed the medicines and food at the table and leaves the place.

While going home. Sunoo just cried and cried until he got home.

He promised to himself that he needs to have closure with Sunghoon or It might get to the point where he will lose Jay.
