Chapter 16

Ash Pov:
I just stood there! Trying to comprehend what she just asked for! I gulped.
By looking my shocked reaction, she added, "It's okay if you don't want to Ashh!" She said looking down.

"Umm..S-Serena I-I need time!" I stuttered. She looked up at me and half-smiled.

"Thank you Ash!" She said.
I just nodded and turned to leave when she spoke, "Till when Ash!?" I stopped in my tracks. Umm till tomorrow!?

"Give me this night to think about it! I-I will tell you tomorrow morning!" I said without turning keeping my face straight towards the road.

"Okay, but please remember Ash, Misty will never fall in love with you! So don't waste your time on her! " She said with low voice but enough so that I can hear! My palms clenched into fists! Calm down Ash calm down!

"I...get it!" I said between gritting teeth! And walked towards my home!

Misty Pov:
Here I can have my solitude! Going directly home with red eyes and tear drained face is not a good idea! If I appeared in this state in front of my sisters then..It'll be a disaster! They'll not agree to any of my excuses and also won't give up until I told them the truth! So here I am, in a park at this time when children are at home and their mothers are having an afternoon nap so, there is no one in the park to disturb me!

I sat on the bench after washing my face with water and all the memories of when Ash and I were together started coming to my mind!

"Hey! Stop!" He yelled!
"Why!? So that you can catch that poliwag before I do!" I yelled back smirking!
"Fine! But you'll regret it later!" He said and I can hear the mischief in his voice!
I was standing at the edge of the pond where I few moments before saw poliwag! I was so busy looking for poliwag that I didn't noticed Ash was running at his full speed and...
Splash!
"Huh! Cough-cough!"
"I told you that you'll regret that later!" He said with a mischievous look on his face!
I glared at him!
"Then...how about this!?" I pulled his leg and made him also fall into the pond!
"Haha! Trouble me and you'll get the double of it!" I said with a smirk!
"You!" He came for me and in split of a second his hand was on my waist and face inches apart!
"You should recieve a punishment for tripping your boyfriend to fall into the pond!" He said moving his face closer to mine!
"Oh really!? Then what punishment you deserve to push your girlfriend into the pond first!?" I said narrowing my eyes at him!
"Same as I am going to give you now!" With that he covered my lips with his! Without wasting a second I kissed him back wrapping my arms around his neck!

I smiled! I don't know why all that harsh incidents even have to exist! Before all that rubbish, everything was fine! I was happy with him and he was..with me! I sighed! I pray if someone can give me back that days!

Ash Pov:
I was walking when I came to the point where road splits into two ways, one goes my home and other Mist's! My heart and body is itching to go to Mist's home way but...my mind was telling me otherwise! I sighed and let my mind win this time!

I was just about to make my way towards my home when I saw someone familiar at the park which is situated at the roadside! I walked closer!
M-Misty!?

"Mist!?" I said entering the park! Her back was facing me! Her back became straight as she heard my voice trying not to turn to face me! I walked closer and sat on the bench at her left side! We sat there for awhile, neither of us spoke anything! Both of us looking at the empty park!

"What do you want Ash!?" She was the one to break the silence! Her tone was so unlike her that it hurted me in a way!

"Can't I sit in the park!?" I said in casual tone! Let it go smooth!

"Ofcourse you can! But why are you sitting here only in particular!? There are many other empty benches in the park!" She said with bitterness in her voice! Mist stop this please!!

"Because I wanted to!" I replied. After that she didn't said anything. After some time she stood up and was about to leave when..I hold her wrist! Stopping her from leaving! She looked at me!

"Why!?" I asked looking directly into her oceanic eyes!

"Why what!? I want to leave and therefore I am leaving!" She said with irritated voice trying to free her wrist from my hold but I held it with a firm grip!

"I am not talking about leaving Misty!" I sighed.
"Then what are you talking about!?" She asked with annoyance in her voice!

"I know you already know what I'm talking about Misty." I said. She was just about to say something maybe like I have no idea what you are talking about when I continued.

"But just in case you can't decipher then...why you said 'no' to me!?" I asked once again directly looking in her eyes!
She looked into my eyes just for a second and then averted her gaze.

"Because I don't wanna be in a relationship with you!" She said trying her best to show confidence in her voice!

"Lie!" I said and my grip on her wrist tightened a lil bit! She looked at me wide-eyed!
"W-what do you mean!?" She asked hesitantly.
"I know there's another reason behind you saying no to me!" I said.
"T-There's not!" She said and with a sudden jerk she freed her hand from my grip and left!

_____________Next morning at school______________

Ash Pov:
I was walking towards the school still thinking about yesterday events! Mist was acting very unusual! I know why she was doing all that!
Then do something about it! Hey! I am trying okay! Infact Gary and Leaf are also! It's just..we have to find someone perfect!

I was so caught up with my thoughts that I didn't noticed when I even entered school! And now Serena is coming towards me! What this girl want now!? Umm maybe to be your girlfriend! My eyebrows shot up and eyes became wide! I almost
forgot about that! Almost!? Okay okay! I completely forgot about that! I gulped! What I will answer her now!? Just say you need more time! I thought about this and was about to go for this idea when I realized...no! This will do no good! And even I can't say no to her! Ugh! Please God save me!

"Ash!?" She said now standing just in front of me!
"H-Hi Serena!" Blast! Do not stutter Ash!
"So..!?" She asked. I send my last prayer to God before opening my mouth to say something anything which could convince her!

I was just about to open my mouth when a car stopped in front of our school!
