Albus's POV

Lily snatched the mirror out of my hands. "What?" she asked. "I think your connection's breaking up or something. I thought you said Uncle Percy's positive for Covid."

"Um, that's unfortunately exactly what I said," said Rose.

"What?!" Lily repeated. "That's terrible! What do we do? Go to Uncle Percy's house? No, he needs to be quarantined. Where will he be quarantined? How is he going to-"

"Slow down, Lily," said James. Although we all looked pretty shaken up, he said, "Everyone, stay calm. Everything'll be sorted out soon."

"How?" I asked. "Rose, do you know anything about it?"

"Not yet," said Rose. "Mum said we're going to their house to make sure everyone's okay. I gotta go."

"Bye, Rose!" said Lily.

"Let us know everything that happened as soon as you c-" Rose ended the call before I got to finish my sentence.

"What a day," I ranted. "We just got to know Scorp and his family are in danger, we got hate mail, and Uncle Percy's gotten covid. I hate this!"

"I hate it too," said James, "but we can't just sit here ranting. I think we should do something about it."

"But James," said Lily. "why don't we leave it all to the adults? They'll figure something out."

"We can find out whatever they can," said James. "If Mum and Dad could do everything, then we can too."

"You're making this dramatic," I muttered. "I'm hungry."

"It is lunchtime," said Lily. "When's Dad gonna call us for lunch?"

"Kids!" Dad called from the kitchen, just then. "Lunch is ready! And your mother's here too!"

"Just in time," James smiled, and I led the way to the kitchen.

Dad's normally the chef of the house. Mum doesn't really know how to cook much, so Dad does all the cooking. I think he's got practice from staying at his uncle and aunt in his childhood. Am I glad I don't have to stay with those Dursleys every summer.

As we reached the kitchen, Dad served us fish and chips. The chips were still crispy and hot. My mouth watered just seeing them, and I dug in before James or Lily sat down.

"Mum, Dad," said Lily. "Is it true? Rose just said Uncle Percy's gotten Covid."

"I'm afraid it is," said Mum sadly. "I went to check on him before coming home, and he looks sick. Hermione and Ron offered for Audrey, Lucy and Molly to stay at their house."

"Thank goodness," said Lily. "But are you sure he's fine?"

"Yes, Lily, I'm sure he is," said Mum. "Harry, more fish and chips?"

"Just a little," said Dad. Mum gave him the plate.

"Another thing," I said. "Lily, James and I got le-" James furiously shook his head. Fine, I won't tell. "We got lettuce," I said stupidly.

"Lettuce?" Mum raised an eyebrow.

Lily rolled her eyes at me. "Lettuce is what Albus says for paper. He meant to say we got the results for our quarterly tests."

"Excellent," said Dad. "What did you get?"

Thank Merlin we had actually gotten our test results the day before, so we didn't have to lie. The bad news is, I wasn't exactly the best in class.

"I got 70 percent in Herbology and Charms, 80 percent in Defence Against the Dark Arts and Astronomy, 65 in Potions, 75 in Transfiguration and 50 in History of Magic," said Lily proudly.
