Ryujin's POV
Where the hell is Uno?
"Shin, where's my sister?" Tres asked me as we reach the parking lot. I can't tell her that she went to find Heejin, right?
"She-" my phone rings, interrupting me to speak. I quickly picked it up upon seeing the caller ID.
"I saw Kim Hyunjin, Ryu. She was stabbed, but now she left before I can even call you" it's Yeji and fuck you, Kim Hyunjin. I thought she can handle herself?
"You guys can go back, I'll go to Hyunjin" I said to the 4 Kims and wear a bulletproof vest.
They shouted my name, but I didn't look back. I rush back inside the venue and avoid everyone, hurrying to find my bestie.
"Ryujin!" someone across the room called me and I turn to see Yeji with Sooyoung, they're carrying Heejin. Shit. She's hurt too.
"She run that way!" Sooyoung said and pointed the left corridor. I nodded and smiled as a sign of thank you before running towards there. I don't even care of they're just tricking me or something. I need to find Hyunjin before the enemies find her first.
I can't lose her. I can't lose my best friend, my sister.
Now, where did that bitch go?
Trouble. I need to see trouble. When there's a trouble, there's Kim Hyunjin.
I heard gunshots and a loud thud. So I ran towards there and see four men lying on the ground lifelessly.
"Fuck off." I peeked inside inside the room and see Hyunjin pointing a gun towards me.
"Bro!" I run towards her and hug her tight.
She groans and I see a knife buried to her side while there's a bullet in her arm. I hit her head and she glares at me.
"I thought you can handle yourself?!" she just laughs at me as she hold my arm to help herself to get up from the floor.
"Stop nagging me" she said
"Did you see Yeji and Heejin?" she asked, she's gon' die, but she still thinks about Heejin.
"Yeah, they're heading outside when I saw them" I answered and she let out a sigh of relief.
"Let's go now" she said and I assist her to walk outside. I called Soojin using my phone and luckily, she picked it up quickly.
"What?! I'm in the middle of fighting someone, bitch" this girl seriously
"Bitch, our Uno is injured. Come here quickly with your whole squad" I said and tell her the location. As expected from their squad, they came after few minutes and formed a formation where Uno can be covered.
We left the corridor and we were welcomed by series of bullets.
"Don't die, dumbass" I heard Soeun told Jimin (Monday).
"Let's get out of here quickly." Hyunjin said and we hurried to the exit. I quickly hugged her and I felt the bullet hit my back. I got a bulletproof vest, but that still kinda hurt.
I'm getting deja vu. The first time I catch a bullet for her was those time when she was still cold to all of us. She never talked to any of us, just to her sisters. That time, she was still weak. So weak that his dad locked her up in a cage with a skilled killer.
"If you don't fight, you'll die" that's what he said and that day, Hyunjin lived, she killed the man, her first murder.
She started warming up to us when Soojin and I saw her crying inside the cage. We joined her to cry as we misses our family.
Soojin and I are orphans. We were together since childhood as we were brought to the same orphanage. We treat each other as sisters the same how we treat Hyunjin as ours even though we're supposed to look at her as our boss.
We don't just protect her because that's our job, but also because we love her as a sister.
"Hey, are you okay?" Hyunjin's voice brought me back to senses.
"Of course, I am" I said and Soojin pulled us to hide behind the wall.
A van came in front of us and I see Jiyoon in the driver's seat.
Soojin opened the door for us and say, "Get in fast", so I did and brought Hyunjin with me.
She's about to close it when Hyunjin speak.
"How about you? You're not getting in?" she asked
"I'll stay" Soojin said and smile.
"Don't worry about me. Bad bitches don't die easily" she said and winked at us.
"See you at the hospital, Uno" she completely closed the door and give it a few pat, signalling Jiyoon to drive.
I look beside me and see Uno slowly closing her eyes. I panicked so I slap her cheek lightly causing her to shot her eyes open again. Phew.
"What was that for?" she asked, annoyed.
"Don't close your eyes" I said and she chuckles.
"I'm not dying, Ddaeng"
"You better not"
"Why? What are you gonna do if I die?"
"Soojin and I will follow you to hell"
She laughs and punch me playfully.
"Don't" she said, her laugh slowly dying down.
"What do you mean?" I asked her
"If I ever die... Don't follow me. Withdraw yourselves from the organization and live like normal teens" she said with a smile.
"Isn't that our dream together?" I asked her and she turn to me.
"It is, but if I'm not able to do it anymore... do it for me"
"Don't speak like that" what's wrong with her?
"I'm just saying, Ddaeng"
"Then stop cuz you're still gonna write your happy ending with Bunny" I said and then I saw how her lips curled into a smile.
I'm the witness of their love together with the moon.
Back then, when she was still courting Heejin, we would sneak in the Jeon's villa just for her to hand a bouquet of fresh flowers to Heejin. We went on like that for a year until Heejin finally said yes to her and that was the happiest Hyunjin I've seen.
She will risk everything for that girl and the girl would do the same for her. That's how their love for each other is. Sweet yet forbidden.
