chapter 1

Watching the sky glow a light red, the sun was peaking down on the hill ahead, a last glance before it goes for the night. Walking the street along my best friend Min beside me as she keeps pointing out to things in the window of shops surrounding us "look look look! Oi! Sophia! Soph!"
A poke to my cheek cut my mind off from the red light to my best friend, her blue eyes piercing into me, impatiently waiting for a response from me

She was pointing to a dragon statue sitting on a desk, it's mouth wide open to show off its teeth, it's wings spread out ready to fly, and the green body shimmered from the touch of light "you have like a thousand statue's min. I don't think you need more" I reply walking faster from the shop, If I stayed around I know she will force us to go in and she will buy it for her collection
Min huffed and followed behind me "you fucking suck" she mumble, I think I wasn't meant to hear it but she sucks at whispering sometimes

I turned and grin at the bright red head, teasingly "I heard that! How about you stay the night to make up for forcing you not to buy that ugly dragon" if I was someone else I would of been punched, by the look on her face and her clutched fist "you have stupid obesstions too you know!"

I ignored her "so do you wanna stay?"

She nods "yeah sure, your mum not home again tonight?" I shake my head looking at another shop, she works long shifts at the hospital, so seeing my mum is a hard one but she lets me do whatever I want, which I don't abuse.

We both carried on until a shadow came up infront of us "SHIT!" I scream leaping back into mind chest. Forcing her to fall on her ass "THE FUCK?!" Min looks up and spots the shadow infront of me. The shadow now turned to a short old lady with a purple hippie dress that looked far too big for her, her graying hair was in a untidy pony tail, and her eyes looks big and sharp. She smiles at the both of us "please! Come to my shop! Come come!"

She points to the shop I was just starring at, the building was a old brick small front. And displayed on a cabinet is a bunch of weird plants, bottles of colorful liquid- wait is that a animal skull?

Ready to say no to the lady's pushing when Min stands infront of me with a grin and curiosity in her eyes "sure!" I shook my head "like the fuck I'm going in there!" Min ignored me and dragged me, following the lady.

"Min! No! This shit is creepy" I whisper real low with a bite in my voice, trying to show I don't want to follow some random old woman into a building. Min waved me off as the lady swung the door open. Inside, the room was completely dark from the red hues that glittered the path floor outside. It was hard to see anything apart from a table and chairs, and a few objects on the table itself. The lady rushed us in with a smile, but it didn't make me feel any uneasily

We both looked around as the lady slammed the door shut and lightly hummed walking around the room, grabbing random things along the way

"Holy shit this is cool" Min breathed

"The fuck it is. If we die I swear I will kill you repeatedly in hell" I respond

She shrugs, the lady looked back at us now finished grabbing whatever she wanted from the room and waved her hand gesturing to the table. We both sat down and the lady set up random liquids, rings, some type of flower, a piece of fabric and heaps of candles. And a weird glass ball in the middle of it all "your auras are strong" this lady speaks up again

Min is basically hoping in her seat waiting for the lady to explain more "and why would you bring us in her for that?" I ask

She looks up setting the candles alight, the room illuminates in the new light showing random fabric posters and random words I couldn't read littering the walls, huge book shelves full of other things I couldn't even name if I wanted to. I've never been in this shop nor seen it, and I've been here for years but I never noticed it until before
