Crystal Waters:
Closing my eyes as the cool breeze blows my hair in all directions,I feel like a heroine of a romance movie. Which I will be if Asher and I work out. I could probably be the female lead to a series and him , the male lead. That would totally be amazing.
The park is now boring and most people have gone home, with only one or two people remaining. Robert is taking the time of his life to come pick me up. Should I just go to his place on my own?
I check the time on the phone Edward gave me earlier, it's almost half past 5pm.
A man appears from behinds the tress limping on one foot. I gasp and jump out of my seat , wondering where on earth he came from.
He seems like a homeless person from the torn clothes he wears and his face is all dirty. First thing that comes to mind is RUN, but before I stand up he sits on the bench.
"You're not from around here , are you?" He asks in a low but buzzy tone and I nod slowly , just waiting for any opportunity to run without being weird.
"Are you scared of me?" He asks and I shake my head. He pats the empty space next to him and I hesitantly sit down.
He moves closer to me and move to the edge of the bench. I look at him from the corner of my eye. He just sits there ,arms folded and smiling in a peculiar manner.
"Uh huh, love is painful isn't it?" He asks and at this point I'm freaked out by the mental case sitting next to me.
"I- guess." I say awkwardly with my eyes narrowed at him.
"The love of my life betrayed me yesterday, on the day of our highschool graduation. You know why?" He asks. I look at him. He looks nothing like a high schooler , not even a college student. He's probably in his mid thirties. I guess he has some kind of memory loss.
"Why?" I fake a smile.
"Because I left her waiting for me. I knew she loved me and I loved her back but I chose other pretty girls so she found someone else and it was too late when I realized I loved her." He says and when he says his last sentence he starts to mourn loudly. Then he stops.
He sighs."you're a really pretty young lady , you have a boyfriend don't you?" I puts a finger on my chin and holds it up as he examines my face.
"Yeahh , I'll be going now." I say slowly standing up. I begin to walk away as fast as I can. Am I that weird that I only attract weird people to me?
"Love is around the corner if you ignore it , you'll end up hurting everyone close to you!" He says and starts laughing loudly. "You'll be lonely if you take for granted the people that love you." He shouts.
I turn to go to the main road and I hear him laughing even though I am now far away from him.
I'm distracted and end up bumping into someone."I'm so-" I look up and see Robert standing in front of me with two smoothies in his hand.
