The quinjet arrives in Wakanda fairly quickly. Especially since two agents are down and need immediate medical attention. The greetings are short due to the two unconscious Avengers who are brought to the healers right away.

King T'Challa is more than willing to welcome old friends back to his home country. The minute the quinjet touches down, Peter takes off with Shuri. The two of them are as thick as thieves and best of friends. Which is a dangerous combination when you mix in their genius.

"Bucky?" I ask softly as we both lounge around our guest room.

"Hm?" He hums in response.

"You think they're okay?"

Bucky looks up from the book he's reading to see deep concern written in my features. He sighs and sets his book down on the small table next to the reading chair he's occupying before motioning me forward.

I slowly slide off the edge of the bed and walk over to him, his hands going around my waist to bring me to his lap. I curl into him and thread my arms around his neck, my fingers playing with the hair at the nape of his neck.

"Doll, I can promise you they're gonna be just fine. If there's one thing I know about Steve, it's that he never gives up without a fight. And Natasha is the most terrifying woman I've met, besides you of course." Bucky smirks.

"I don't know whether I should be insulted or thankful."

"How 'bout happy." Bucky smiles as he leans his head closer and kisses the top of my nose, my forehead, and finally my lips.

The kiss begins to get heated just as there's a chorus of knocks on the door. I pull away from Bucky with a sigh and lean my forehead against his for a second before climbing off his lap. I open the door expecting to see anyone but who's actually at the door.

A group of kids who all hold excitement in their bright eyes glance past me to see Bucky sitting in the room. A huge smile spreads across each of the small faces as they run past me and crowd Bucky, all of them talking at once.

"Are these the friends you said you met in Wakanda?" I ask, crossing my arms and leaning against the doorway with a teasing smile.

"Sort of." Bucky grins as the kids begin pulling him out of his seat and start dragging him out of the room as they all giggle and laugh.

"I'll see you later doll." Bucky laughs as he allows the kids to lead him out of the room, two kids taking his hands in theirs while the others follow behind with laughter echoing through the halls.

I stand in the hallway, leaning against the wall while smiling as I watch Bucky play with the kids. He has one kid on his back and one kid tucked under his arm like a football, another kid holding his metal hand as the others run ahead giggling.

I love seeing Bucky like this, when he doesn't have a care in the world and a huge smile on his face. When he's happy.

I wander back into the room and immediately an illusion hits me head on, my vision blurry and my head fuzzy. I stumble back a bit and hit the wall and try to keep myself upright as an image flashes through my mind.

The vision passes just as quickly as it appeared and I take deep breaths to calm myself. The visions are becoming more frequent and they are always the same. An image of Bucky as the Winter Soldier but I've never met him when he was under Hydra's control, so how did my mind know what his stealth suit looks like?
