As for Blaze, he went to the Great Forest and laid on the cliffside near the lake, crying as he watched a pack of wolves playing and swimming.

It really helped when he was down and out, but... nothing this time.

"Blaze...?"

Blaze turned to see Roarian and AJ head over to him.

"Oh, hey," the red truck gave a smile.

"You okay?" AJ asked.

"Not... not in the slightest." Blaze shook his head.

"Is it because of what Crusher said?" Roarian questioned.

"I... I know it isn't true, but... what he called me... it... it hurt so much. I... I was gonna ask him out once all this was over, cause... I think he has feelings for me. But... I don't know anymore. Why... why am I hurting so much...?!!"

"Okay, okay, breathe, Blaze," AJ told him, a hand moving to hold his tire. "We both know that everything was fine until Crusher went to see Grammy to say goodbye. Can you tell us what happened? Maybe we can find out the reason for his outburst,"

"He was just... being really sad that he'll be all alone when Grammy passes. I told him that we could take him in and he could be our brother, and..." Blaze couldn't say anything more before sniffling and crying.

"And that's when he… started giving you the cold shoulder?"

"Mmm-hmm..." Blaze nodded.

"Blaze…" AJ sighed. "You said that you thought that he like-likes you, right?"

"Yeah..."

"Then why did you offer to say that he could be our brother…?" AJ raised an eyebrow. "I know that he had no right to call you what he called you, but maybe… just maybe… that's what hurt him too,"

"Well... I just wanted to offer it to him in case my suspicions were wrong." Blaze sighed. "I… I didn't mean to hurt him,"

"I know, but maybe that IS what hurt him," AJ shrugged. "I don't know, honestly,"

"But... he HATES me. I... I don't know if I could face him again..."

"True…" AJ sighed. "No one could after the outburst, honestly. We all just… left the house. Even Pickle,"

"R-Really?" Blaze looked shocked. "You guys left him alone? When we just promised that we wouldn't…?"

"We... we were just so upset about the way he did you." AJ admitted.

Blaze sighed and got up. "I know what he did and said wasn't right, but I'm not going to let him be alone just after his grandmother died. I'm going back,"

"Are you sure, Blaze?" AJ frowned. "What if he hurts you?"

"It's a risk… that I'm willing to take," Blaze let out a sigh.

"Then we will go with you, my friend," Roarian offered.

"Okay... let's fly."

"Is he alone, like we know he would be?" Krisha asked as Calvin looked into the house through his binoculars.

"Yep."

"Good," Krisha smirked and took out her double barrel shotgun. "Then it doesn't just have to be one shot to get rid of him."

"Let's get on with it." Calvin cackled, taking out his own shot gun.

They both aimed for the window, eyes narrowing before pulling on the trigger…

BANG! BANG!

"GAH!" Crusher yelped at the gun shots.

He zoomed over to the nearby window and gasped to see the shotguns targeting him.

"Oh no... HEEEEEEEEEEELLP!!"

He tried to drive out, but a gunshot from the porch made him jump back and zoom into the room. He held onto Grammy, sobbing with a hiss.

"Grammy... what should I do...?"

Multiple gunshots came afterwards, and he was holding onto Grammy as tight as he could.

Hoping someone would hear him.

Hoping someone would SAVE him.

Suddenly, just as he held onto that hope, a bullet went right through him, making him stiffen in shock as his eyes widen.

From outside, Blaze, AJ and Roarian were on their way to the house when the shotguns caught their attentions.

"Gunshots!" AJ gasped.

"But where is it coming from?!" Blaze asked, looking around.

"I think it's coming from the house!" Roarian exclaimed. "Crusher's wicked parents must be trying to hurt him!"

"Oh NO, CRUSHER!" Blaze flew down as quickly as he could towards the house.

"Blaze, WAIT!" AJ called out. "The bullets! They might get you!"

"I'd rather get hit than Crusher!"

"Blaze--!" AJ sighed. "Roarian, we need to help him! Can you make some force field around the house, so no one gets hurt?"

"Of course, I can," Roarian nodded.

He released his magic towards the house, creating a forcefield around it just as Blaze entered. The red truck glanced up gratefully before heading inside to find the dark blue truck.

"Crusher?! CRUSHER!!"

He looked around and called out to the other as loud as he could. When he made it to the room where Grammy was, he was horrified to see Crusher on the ground, unconscious, with multiple bullet holes on him.

"NOOOOOO!!!"

Blaze zoomed over, tires trembling as he grabbed Crusher. He felt himself hyperventilating in fear and shock as he tried to figure out what to do.

"CRUSHER, WAKE UP!!!" he yelled, trying to rock the body to wake him up, but to no avail. "Oh no... HEEEEEELP!!!"

"WE'RE COMING, BLAZE!"

AJ and Roarian flew into the house immediately and gasped when they saw Crusher on the ground.

"Roarian, you have to save him!" Blaze begged. "PLEASE!!"

"I will try," Roarian nodded.

He released his magic towards him in a spiral of purple, lifting him up while partially healing the holes before setting him down. Even then, the dark blue truck didn't wake up.

"W-Why isn't he waking up?" AJ asked.

Roarian tried again, but Crusher still wouldn't move. The flying lion frowned.

"Hmm… this isn't good…"

"W-What isn't good?" Blaze trembled. "W-What's going on?"

"It seems that Father Death is keeping him returning to us," Roarian replied.

"No... no!!"

Blaze couldn't let this happen... not when it was his fault anyway.

He would have to make his decision.

A decision so huge, that it would be his choice between life... or death.

He whispered his idea into Roarian's ear, and the flying lion grew worried.

"Blaze, are you sure?" He asked.

"I... I'd do anything to make up for what I've done. After he wakes up, put a spell on him to make sure nothing ever hurts him again... okay?"

"You have my word."

"Blaze...? What do you have in mind?" AJ asked worriedly.

Blaze didn't say a word, but wrapped AJ in a hug and whispered, "I'll always love you... little brother."

With that, he turned away. Roarian casted the spell, and Blaze felt himself fall into a deep sleep.
