Hello, everyone. Im Faraidayu Zainal, the author. My second book, 'Heaven On You,' is in English. "Kahwin Dengan Dia?" is my debut book, which is written in the Malay language. (It is "Marry Him?" in English.) Please take the time to comment and vote. Thanks.

"All right, Miss Sophie White. Are you sure you wish to work at Mrs. Natalie's residence? " The lady asked the same question a second time.

With full of confidence, Sophie nodded again. The middle-aged woman's heartfelt a bit strange with this girl's willingness to accept the position offered. It is rare for a girl as young as this to come to get for this position. Girls as young as this are usually not fond of working in people's homes, even though the salary is commensurate with their qualifications and is equivalent to those working in government hospitals.

Indeed, her husband, Mr.Robert, had instructed that his mother's nurses should be paid a commensurate with their degree even if they only worked at Mrs.Natalie's house. They were more than able to hire a personal nurse to stay with their ailing mother. However, so far, this relatively lucrative salary offer has not caught the attention of young girls. If someone comes to apply, often they do not have a degree.

Mrs.Natalie is a former stroke patient and needs more attention. As a daughter-in-law, Mrs.Maya could not do so due to her busyness managing restaurants around town Kuala Lumpur. She was unable to take care of her pretty fussy mother-in-law. Not sure what the cause is. There is only fault in Mrs.Natalie's eyes. Yet, she just kept quiet about it. She knew her husband; Mr.Robert knew but was just silent.

"Seeing your degree, you used to go to skills school. How can you connect to the field of nursing?" asked Mrs.Maya to the girl.

"I remember in the village, there were always problems with doctors and nurses who worked in the village, so I was determined to work in this field. Maybe one day I can serve in the village."

Mrs.Maya smiles to hear that.

"Will Sophie leave Mrs.Natalie's house after getting a job at any hospital later?"

"I have applied for a job at the hospital but still haven't gotten any news. Perhaps the post has not been opened or is already full. So in the meantime, instead of doing nothing, what's wrong with working here, right? At least get some experience."

She gave a smile to the girl in front of her.

"I am looking for someone who can stay long with Mrs.Natalie. I don't want to later work for three months, have to find a replacement. Since she started getting sick last year, close to 30 people have come to work with us, but all of them didn't last long. Some come to work for one day only. If possible, this time, we don't want to be like that. Interfere with the healing process, Mrs.Natalie." she explained to Sophie.

Sophie nods her head, the sign of agreeing. She grasps the situation.

"As long as I am needed here, I will continue to work. After all, the position I applied for, I don't know when it will open again. Maybe a little slow. I don't expect much either."

"If that's good, I'm glad Miss Sophie holding a degree in this field. Of course, you know how to deal with the situation Mrs.Natalie later. Miss Sophie needs to stay here—no other commitment. I want to remind you again, Mrs.Natalie is fussy. Must be good at taking her heart, follow her lead and be willing to live in her house. Is there a problem with these conditions?"

"Yes. I can follow all that. Sure. I will do my best".

"Why do you agree to work at this family's home? Young ladies like you usually want to work in an environment where they can meet many people. They claim that this kind of home is uninteresting. " Mrs.Maya was perplexed. That's true. She constantly hears those remarks from a girl she used to know.

"Okay, this is what I prefer. No need to hurry to work, hmm. Am I correct? Hehe, "She responded truthfully. Here, she does not need a large number of pals. She is more serene in this position. She never had a large circle of friends.

"Okay, Miss Sophie, try first. For a month. Salary as we discussed earlier. Any question?"

Sophie nodded quickly with a smile. Agree with the offer made.

"After a month, if Sophie still wants to continue, I will give an extra salary if satisfied with Sophie's service. But if you want to quit, you have to get a month's notice to find a replacement. Before this, some ran away, so it was difficult for us."

Sure. Sophie gives a short nod.

"Good. So, when do you think you'll be able to begin? "Can you get back to me early next month?"

"All right, yap." Thank you very much for entrusting me with this position."

Sophie was requested to arrive a day earlier than usual before beginning her job; she agreed without hesitation and did not raise any objections to the idea. She grinned as she realized she had finally found a job that met her standards.

One month later

The promised day arrives; Sophie arrives at the railway station just in time. Mrs.Maya took her there and then to her employers' home in Kuala Lumpur. The only people that lived in the house were Mrs. Natalie and her housemaid. Mrs.Maya and her family live in a place not far from Mrs.Natalie's home.

Wow, a house this big only has two people? Sophie feels weird.

"Please, come in, Miss Sophie," said a woman who looks older than Mrs.Maya.

"Just call me Sophie." Assuming she's the housemaid for this enormous mansion. Sophie greeted the attractive lady with a genuine grin that was both beautiful and sincere. Then she extended her hand to shake hands with the lady who had lived half a century before here."

"Mrs.Ruby is a housemaid. She is well-known in this house." She formally introduced by Mrs.Maya

Mrs.Ruby extended her hand to shake Miss Sophie's. Mrs.Maya said that since the previous nurse resigned, Mrs.Natalie was cared for throughout the day by Mrs.Ruby, her maid. A personal nurse would arrive in the evening to perform the night shift. Mrs. Ruby resides in a tiny home next to Mrs. Natalie's.
