Henry sat cross-legged in front of the front door, his gaze fixed on the eyes of his dream woman. At the very least, he was confident that Sophie was safe. Sophie's departure from the house had caused him to worry for a week. Following his discovery that Sophie had gone, he resumed his hunt for her. He followed almost the whole bus and train station area in Kuala Lumpur in the hopes of seeing the girl, but he came up empty-handed.
For the next several days, he couldn't stop thinking about Sophie and what had happened. When he inquired as to the location of Sophie's village, Mrs. Ruby said, "I'm not sure." He got the feeling that everyone despised him at the moment. His grandmother was the only one who was still interested in conversing with him after all this time.
He couldn't sleep for a week due to his anxiety about what was happening with the girl. When she glanced at Sophie's face, she felt a weight lifted off her shoulders.
It was only at this point that he realized his heart had been a bit uncomfortable when he glanced at Mr. James's calm and pleasant countenance at the start of his encounter, and he now expressed a range of readable emotions. Anger, resentment, aggressiveness, and a variety of other emotions are shared. Mr. James did not scare him since he knew he had expressed remorse in the older man's heart and vowed to take responsibility for Sophie.
He is concerned about whether or not they would agree to his desire to have Sophie. His heart was racing as if he were about to lose the girl. There's no way they'll say no to this offer. Who would desire a lady who is no longer a virgin in the first place? After all, Henry is determined to ensure everyone knows what he has done to Sophie. No one else should be interested in having that soiled girl.
Sophie must be aware of why Mr.Robert and his family have here today, Mr.James speculated, beginning his speech. Sophie, who was still sobbing, reflected on her feelings of sadness.
"Just now, I'd want to inquire of Sophie about what transpired that night. Is it possible that Sophie allowed it to happen? "Inquire with Mr. James.
Sophie's gentle sobs, which had been so mild at first, had now become so weeping, inviting the sadness of everyone in the room.
Henry bit the inside of his lip. He looked at Sophie's face, which seemed to be shaking, and felt a surge of compassion for the helpless little girl in front of him.
"Sophie was not in control of what occurred. I'm the one who has to take responsibility for this. It's not her at all." Henry was not afraid to acknowledge that he made a mistake.
"Please accept my apologies, Sir Henry. I didn't ask you, but I'd want to hear it straight from Sophie's lips!" Mr. James spoke very aggressively. He doesn't give a damn about his social standing right now.
"Sophie, can you tell me what occurred that night? Did you make an attempt to flirt with him?" Mr. James inquired as to the certainty of the situation. He lost his cool after witnessing the girl weep for an extended period.
"Sophie...speak up...don't make Father upset."Mrs.Amy begged her daughter, "
"I...I don't...I don't..." faintly could only make out the sound.
"Insist on telling me what actually occurred!" After a while, Mr. James snapped, leading the girl to be stunned.
"I... I was asleep... then when I realised... he... he," she responded. Sophie couldn't stop sobbing and couldn't say anything else at the time.
Mrs. Amy then embraced Sophie, attempting to alleviate her daughter's sadness.
"Why not lock the door to the room? or Sophie is already aware that he will be entering your room!" Mr. James had his picture taken.
"Mr.James..." Henry said in hushed tones. In an attempt to defuse the somewhat tense environment between the father and daughter.
Mr.James signaled with his hand that Henry should keep his mouth shut.
"Is it possible for you to remain quiet? Sophie herself must provide me with reassurance. There is no one I would want to be punished "Mr. James stated this in a half-angry tone.
If his emotions had followed, all he wanted to do was beg the guy to leave her daughter alone. Seeing the guy who had taken away his daughter's virginity had become unbearably tricky for him.
Mr. Robert was taken aback by Mr. James's comments, and he didn't believe that Mr. James was still interested in looking into the issue, even though Henry had acknowledged that the error was his own. If it is someone else, it is almost certain that the kid will be held responsible. If you choose the incorrect day of the month, the ax will almost certainly come down on your head. Mr. James, on the other hand, is not that elderly.
"Sophie!" Mr. James pleaded with a fervor.
"I... I closed the door," she replied, her voice breaking with sadness.
"Please allow me to explain. I entered through the door to my grandmother's room. Don't hold Sophie responsible for this. I've made a mistake. I'll take full responsibility!" Henry persisted rapidly before Mr. James could see quite what he was trying to say for the second time. He has a responsibility to protect Sophie.
Mr. James was deafeningly quiet for a time. He has finally concluded that Sophie is innocent. Henry has previously defended Sophie and acknowledged his error on numerous occasions.
"Sir Henry, I believe I have a legal obligation to look into this issue. I don't want it to be implied that my daughter has a penchant for seducing the wealthy." Mr. James's voice came back to him gently. He let out a long, deep sigh.
In that brief period of silence, the only thing that all could hear was the sound of Sophie sobbing in her mother's arms. Mrs. Maya, who had been deafeningly quiet until now, approached Sophie and softly stroked the little girl's shoulder. When she realized how depressed the girl was, her pity for her grew. She was well aware that she had a role to play in resolving the issue.
"So, how do you feel about my proposal, Mr. James? Henry and Sophie need to tie the knot as soon as they possibly can. It is our duty to do so." Mr. Robert was the one who eventually spoke out.
Sophie sat up straight and listened intently to her boss's remarks. She was taken entirely by surprise by what she heard. Sophie made a shaky motion with her head. No, she had no intention of marrying the gentleman. She was not interested in having him as her spouse. How could this guy possibly be able to guide her along the correct road if he was on the wrong path? No!
"Yes, Mr. Robert, you are correct." Mr. James said softly as his gaze drifted to Henry's face.
He did not want his daughter to be in such a position in the first place. Even if Sophie refuses to consent, they will have to be married.
"If Sophie is pregnant, the situation would deteriorate much worse, therefore we should hasten their marriage." Mr. James expressed himself.
"There is no father! no! I'm not going to do it! Please, Father, I beg you!" Sophie's cries shattered the previously reasonably quiet atmosphere, and all eyes were immediately drawn to her. She screamed out without a second's hesitation this time.
