Mr. Robert and Mr. James met for breakfast the following morning at a noodle soup restaurant. After Mr. James bought two bowls of noodle soup for himself and Mr. Robert, they found a seat in a corner that was a little difficult to see from the street.
"The noodle soup here is really wonderful," Mr. James said.
Mr. Robert, seated in front of him, gave him a kind grin as he looked at him. He seems agitated, as though he doesn't know what to say in response to his remark. Even Mr. James was taken aback and didn't know how to begin talking. When the order came, they immediately began to enjoy it.
"Hmm, what did Mr. Robert wish to tell me yesterday?" Mr. James says they were quiet for a long time until Mr. James eventually spoke out for himself.
Mr. Robert expressed his dissatisfaction loudly. What is the best way for him to communicate what will be stated later? Opening the chest bulge is tough. Furthermore, there are issues concerning the dignity of his family. However, he must communicate this. At the absolute least, make everything crystal obvious with the actual thing. There will be no more secrets that will impact his son, Henry, and Sophie.
"I believe I need to tell you a few things about Henry." Mr. Robert continued while staring directly into Mr. James's eyes,
"'Can you tell me what Mr. Robert means?'
"It was when Henry was 13 years old that his mother died away from cancer. At the time, I had just recently established my own construction business. My late wife's death was a source of great sadness for me. I was unable to control my sorrow at the time because I was preoccupied with job and children's issues, which had grown as adolescents, which had left me completely shocked. So, in order to relieve some of the pressure I was under, I sent Henry to London to attend school there. My mother put up a strong fight, but I didn't care. That was the worst decision I'd ever made in my life."
Mr. Robert took a breath and continued. Mr. James just remained silent and waited for Mr. Robert to continue his conversation.
"Henry grew up in that environment without any parental guidance. His life is as free as the lives of the individuals he meets there. We attempted to convince him to return to Malaysia, but he was adamant in his refusal. In the end, he decided to return to Malaysia after a year of convincing."
"So he's been there all by himself all these time? Didn't anybody provide any direction or discipline?" Mr. Robert remained quiet for a time, his face betraying his sorrow when Mr. James inquired.
"Yes, there is. My kid, on the other hand, is a little cold-hearted. Perhaps he enjoys rebelling because he is depressed as a result of his mother's death. Because of his own attitude, the caregiver is unable to maintain effective control over him." Mr. Robert sighed once more. He expressed his regret for his carelessness a short while ago.
"He returned to Malaysia and established himself in Petaling Jaya; there is no distinction between him and the way he used to live in London, since he used to be from there.Consequently, on the advice of friends, I encouraged him to go back to Kuala Lumpur, where he could be closer to family."
Mr. James, who had already begun to alter his response a bit, was startled. Mr. James's response demonstrated his dissatisfaction with the previous continuity work.
"But now I see what I've been missing. I'd want to bend the bamboo and let it grow from the stalk itself. He doesn't seem to be able to be rescued any more. He spent twenty years in London, allowing the dirty life he lived there to become as real as flesh and blood to him. I am powerless in the face of this circumstance. He may be motivated by this to do immoral things to Sophie, after all. " With a wave of sorrow over his face, Mr. Robert bowed his head. The tears of profound sadness streamed down his cheeks.
