A Footstep Of Gaza

Never Stop Learning

Freezing air envelopes his body, Gaza is still awake to accompany the serenity of the night. On his writing desk, he stays up late learning how to be a better army. Just few hours after sleeping, Mr. Sun starts to greet him. He wakes up from his writing desk with a pile of books around while holding a pen.

(He yawns while covering his mouth)

"It's already dawn" He said.

He goes to take a shower first then he goes upstairs. In a prayer room he finds his grandfather is still praying. His drowsiness is unbearable, he even nods off right after his praying. He chooses to stay awake by having a cup of coffee from the nespresso.

"Je pense que je dois d'abord faire des croissants puis je vais servir mon café au lait" Gaza said.

He makes the croissant dough with a recipe he has learned in France. While waiting for the croissants to bake, he prepares the dishes and make a pot of tea for his grandfather. When he is about to take the saffron off the kitchen shelf, he finds fresh some lambs inside a transparent freezer.

Gaza and Hisyam are sitting in the chair while enjoying the sound of birds chirping in the back yard. They are having lots of conversations about business. But then Hisyam picks up a call.

"Gazaly, I think I'm going to go abroad for business within the next couple of days later. Are you okay to stay at home alone?"
"It's okay with me"

Since then Hisyam often goes abroad for business. There is a moment of Hisyam's arrival, Gaza asks for his permission to look for a job in Deluxa. Of course he's gladly allowing him because he thinks of being close to their relatives, Gaza will be more safe. He also allows Gaza to pilot the rotorcraft if he wants.

At the same day, just few moments of Gaza's departure, Hisyam does his trip. In the meantime, Hisyam entrusts his another business to Egar, a loyal young man who is great at taking care of horses. Hisyam is going abroad by his private plane while Gaza drives to Deluxa by his car.

He stays at Bryan's hotel with his dog, Zeru. In just a matter of hours since he arrives at Deluxa, he is offered a job by several companies via email. His choice falls on the head office located in Deluxa. He is commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Army. Sometimes he is also assigned to various areas outside the Deluxa city.

Living in a city that has a lot of the latest things, makes him tempted to buy them. He brings these things to be tinkered with and modified. During his work he also promotes his uncle's property business as a side job, both in the field and online. Slowly, he starts saving money to buy a house and enroll in the college he is aiming for.

It doesn't take a long time, from the results of his hard work there he can affords an elite house around his workplace in Deluxa. The house is painted white with a dividing wall with a gate, garage on the side and some street lights in front. The realization of his first dream makes him more passionate to make another dreams come true. Then he immediately informs his uncle that he will be occupying his new house. So Bryan is visiting Gaza in his day off.

(Gaza and Bryan is sitting in the livingroom)

"Gaza, I will set aside a house for you to live in whenever you want. You better save your money for your college needs. Even you also want to continue your study, don't you?"
"It's okay, uncle. I just wanna make sure that I'm going to get what I want" Gaza replied.
"Well, congratulations on your achievement. I'm happy for you"

(Bryan pats Gaza's shoulder)

Since then, Bryan visits him more often. Because likes to discuss about the new projects with him. Then, Bryan takes out some pieces of papers from his suitcase.

"So Gaza, this is a framework for building my project, I hope you can contribute to this work. What do you think?"

(Gaza is reading the papers carefully)

"It's nice. Sure, I'd be gladly to join with you"

After work, he promotes the property of  business while on his days off he helps his uncle's project. Level of weariness is of course high, but his desire for his dream is much higher.

His efforts certainly pay off. When his nest egg is deemed sufficient, he immediately enrolls himself at Excellent College in Deluxa this year. He takes technological innovation major for four years. He uses part of his allowance to pay for his tuition fees and meet his daily needs. He also continues to save more money from his side job.

After work he likes to stay at home to do college duties. He even ignores some messages from his college mates to hang out in the weekend. In the late night, he is thinking of creating a work that will ease his uncle's projects in the future, such as making objects that has abilities similar to human. He opens a book of mechanical techniques and repeatedly he practices. He manages to put some components together but haven't developed them yet. But then he gets bored and it leads him to surf the internet to get a collection of scientific names. There he also finds an articles about heterochromia he's experienced. He gulps when he finds another related articles. But tonight, he wants to sleep early to get up earlier. His body is blanketed then goes to sleep.
