- Scarlett POV -

Elizabeth showed up at my house with a smile on her face.

" You busy? You have something to do today?" She asked and I shook my head.

" No, Rose is with Hayley and Chris, and I am taking a break from work, so I am not busy, why?"

" I need to go shopping for the wedding, and I need a friend with me, so let's go, grab the twins, your wallet and let's go." She said and I rolled my eyes but did as she asked.

We got in the car and Elizabeth drove us to the mall, luckily it was pretty empty and since it was 10 am on a weekday, there were no kids or teenagers that would recognize us.

" So, anyone new in your life? Men or women?"

I shook my head " no, I know who I want and I missed my shot, so I am good on my own, I am working on getting better, I go to therapy, spend time with the kids, it's nice"

" But like... If Y/N came back, what would you do?"

" I would get on one knee and propose and never let her go, but she's with Florence in L. A and she cut me off her life, I haven't heard from her in weeks and when she does want something, she gets her lawyer to do it, like checking up on the kids or give me child support, it's all done by others so she doesn't have to see me."

"She's happy with Florence and that is that, " I said and Elizabeth nodded.

" I see, well, who knows, things could change and she could come back"

" She won't but whatever, "

She hummed and looked at the twins who were asleep in the stroller.
" You know, Aubrey and I are planning on having kids, and since you are the only friend that I know that has babies, could we babysit them for like a weekend or something? Just to see how we would handle being moms "

I nodded, " yes sure, I could use a weekend on my own with Rose, I feel like... Ever since Y/N left, Rose has been a little more closed off you know, and. I want to make sure she's okay, but I have little to no time when the twins are around"

" I get that, my sisters were the twins, whenever it came down to me or them, my parents picked them, anyway, look at that neckless, isn't it pretty? " She said and we walked to the Cartier store.

We walked in and the salesman smiled in our direction. We started to look at all the things and I stopped when I saw a very beautiful bracelet, I looked at the price tag and realized that even with the amount of money I had, I couldn't afford it.

I looked back at Elizabeth and she was talking to the man about the necklace she wanted, they talked for a while before she went back to me

" You didn't buy it?" I asked and she nodded.
" I did, they will sent it to my house,"

I nodded and we carried on with the shopping. We walked past a wedding dress shop and she stopped.

" Wanna do something fun?"

" What?"

" We should try wedding dresses on, just for the fun of it..."

I shook my head " I don't feel like it, and it's not like I will ever get married again..."

" But I will, and I want to plan, now come along Scarlett, be a good friend, and let's try on dresses together"

I rolled my eyes once more and decided to just let her be, we tried on dresses for hours on end, I didn't like anything I was putting on and Elizabeth could see that I wasn't enjoying myself.

" Okay, I can't do this if you look annoyed, let's... Let's play pretend, think of your ideal wedding, how would it be? "

I started to describe it to her and she smiled. " That's wonderful, now, if you had to pick a dress for your perfect ideal wedding what would you pick? "

I thought about it and then went over to the dress I would love to wear at a wedding that would never happen.

" This one, if I were to get married I would get this one. " I said and Elizabeth smiled.

" You should try it on"

" Why? I won't get married again, Lizzie"

" Just for the fun of it. We have nothing to do, we might as well just have fun"

I nodded and the owner of the shop went over to us " found what you were looking for? "

" It's a very beautiful dress, but I have no one to wear it for, " I said and she smiled at me.

" Perhaps, If you buy it out of faith that you will find someone, that someone will come and marry you"

" That's impossible..." I said and Lizzie took a sip of the champagne that was offered to us.

" You might as well try it, the worst that can happen is that you spend money on a dress you won't wear, come on Scarlett leap of faith..."

I smiled and looked at the dress.
"If it fits me, I will buy it..."

And goddamnit... The dress did fit...
