It was not too crowded since it was almost half-past 9 at night. Just a few people were walking around some getting on the train, some waiting.
As the train came to a stop, Baekhyun stepped out sighing with a happy smile on his face. He had finally managed to wrap up his new book which had managed to become a hot topic among the book lovers in less than a week.
Once he got time, he got on the first train to meet the friends he dearly missed.
"Taxi?" a few men called out as he got out but the writer politely refused before adjusting the bag on his shoulder and continuing to walk enjoying the soft night breeze and the beautiful night scenery of the city.
The young writer could feel the eyes on the back of his head and felt a shiver down his spine. Baekhyun turned around eyes scanning the place for someone suspicious or someone he could have come across in the past. But he found none.
Suddenly his phone rang startling him, "Jeez!" It turned out to be some telemarketers who just would not stop bugging him. He quickly ended the call glaring at his phone.
The writer groaned in his head before pocketing his phone. The young male hugged himself as his brown bangs stood messily over his eyes. Slowly he walked in the direction of the bar he knew his friends would be in.
As he continued to walk, the writer could not shrug off the feeling of a pair of eyes staring at the back of his head. Baekhyun felt a shiver up his spine. He could not help but turn his head every now and then trying to see if he was just being paranoid or if he was being watched.
Taking one deep breath, the male continued forward. That was when he felt someone getting closer and closer. The short male quickened his pace and heard the footsteps matching his behind him.
But it was only later when Baekhyun realized that while looking for someone, he had lost the direction and was in an alley, a dead end. When he tried to get out, someone pulled on his arm. "You're Byun Baekhyun, right? The Byun Baekhyun? The famous writer?"
With face as pale as a ghost, wide eyes staring at the boy, the male nodded slowly, "Yeah, I am." The boy who looked to be somewhere around 16, smiled, "I'm such a huge fan of your works, Mr. Byun." Then he showed his copy of the book, "If it isn't too much, can you sign the front page? It would be an honour, Sir."
Baekhyun smiled before getting a pen from his bag to sign his book.
"I don't know if you've been to this place before but this is a bad neighbourhood," said the student and the writer looked around scrunching his face as the strong odour of alcohol and cigarettes reached his nose.
"Oh, I've been here but I just got a little lost," said the writer with a small chuckle. "Where do you need to go? Maybe I can help you," offered the student as they walked out of that alley. Baekhyun bumped into someone as he did and looked up.
"Oh, my God!" a loud squeal left his lips as he threw his arms around the man's neck and hugged him. Baekhyun turned to the boy, "Thanks for the offer but he's my friend. He can take me there." The boy nodded and shook hands with the writer before leaving the two.
"How have you been, Yeol? And where did you come from?" he hugged his friend again and Chanyeol hugged him back, "My apartment is that way, remember?"
Baekhyun chuckled while Chanyeol glared somewhere else. "Got lost in the city?" asked the taller and the younger gave a sheepish nod, "Yeah, just a little."
"Was that kid bothering you?"
Baekhyun huffed, "No, Mr. Police. He turned out to be a sweet fan of mine and asked for an autograph." Chanyeol nodded with a smile, "Want to go meet our friends? I was on my way there."
