Liam's POV
One week.
That's how long she has been unconscious in a coma...
One week since I first met her...
One week since we had hung out with the lads and Sam...
One week since she left to see her injured Aunt...
One week since she was struck by lightning...
One week since she spoke to me...
One week since I had seen her beautiful smile...
I don't know why I was counting the days, but I couldn't help it. I had to start going back to work at the studio, but it doesn't feel right knowing she's lying in a hospital bed with tubes and wires threaded all around her. I can tell the lads have picked up on my mood because they have been trying to convince me everything will be okay, but I'm still not sure.
"Alright boys I think we're done for the day." Paul said.
I made my way to Louis's car so I could go visit Sonni. Everyone of them had knew by now that I went to the hospital to visit Sonni, Sam, and their aunt who stopped by when she could. Niall and Louis always came with me to make sure I got dinner and sleep, and Louis would drive me there and home.
Sam's POV
I had just walked into Sonni's room at the hospital after my auditions. She was still lying there with the wires hooked up all over, but she was still my best friend. I always was here everyday when I got off work at the café or auditions were over. I only worked at the café to make some extra cash when I wasn't performing or just to have something in my pocket.
"I got the part Sonni, I have the leading role. I wish you could have been there when I was trying out. Oh and you remember Michael from the café? Well you know how he has always tried to get me back after I broke up with him in what, sixth grade? I don't even know, but today he was so sweet, even though I don't like him like that, he made me a cappuccino with the whipped cream shaped into a rose and the- Sonni?" I cut myself off when I saw Sonni's jaw begin to clench.
"Sam?" she moaned quietly.
"Sonni! Sonni I'm right here." I said taking her hand.
"Sam it hurts, it hurts everywhere." She moved her head so it was towards me.
"You were struck by lightning, you've been unconscious for a week."
"I have? Where am I?" I could tell she was dizzy and confused.
"You're at the hospital, where else would you be? The lads and I have been visiting everyday waiting for you to wake up."
"I am?" slowly she opened her eyes, and stared straight at me, "Sam, Why did you turn the lights off? And what time is it?"
I could almost feel the blood drain from my face, "It's 6:30 in the afternoon and the lights are on."
"Sam, seriously stop fooling around I think I can tell the difference between light and dark." Her eyes were still trained on me, but I was getting a feeling that that wasn't her own doing.
"Sonni, can you see me?"
"No, please turn the lights on."
"Sonni, the lights are on, the windows are open..."
I could almost see the fear and terror in her cloudy brown eyes, "Sam... Sam, This can't happen, please say that you're lying. Please Sam tell me this isn't happening..." she practically cried.
