It Wasn't Supposed To Be This Way

Sonni's POV

*One Month Later*

The boys have been working hard in the studio, but Liam's always made time to come see me; even more so after my episode a month ago. I can't say I've gotten to be perfectly myself again, but I haven't stooped that low either. Sam and I have been spending a lot of time with the boys at our Aunts house.

"LOUIS, GIVE ME BACK MY PHONE!" Sam roared.

"Oh God..." I moaned, the boy just loves to mess with her.

"No it's mine now!" he claimed.

I heard rustling, a thud and a grunt before Sam spoke again, "YOU GOT ON MY TWITTER!" that boy doesn't know his limits.

"What do you say we go get something to eat Damen? I think Sam and Louis need to sort this out by themselves." I cooed to the dog.

"Need any help?" I felt Liam shift to stand up.

"Nah I'll be right back." I stood up and walked to the kitchen, my hand never leaving Damen's back.

I poured his food into his dish and sat back against the counter.

"LOUIS YOU'RE LIFE IS ENDING TODAY!" Sam shouted again making me laugh.

"Louis's dug himself deep this time." Niall chuckled startling me.

"God you scared me." I said laughing with him.

"Well it's kind of hard not too, considering everything." He sighed.

"Yeah... Two months... I guess I shouldn't expect anything to change."

"Awe Sonni, you can't think that-"

"Niall, let's face it I don't think my vision is coming back."

"What?" a new voices called together, making me freeze.

"Shit." Niall swore under his breath.

"Sonni..." Zayn's voice drifted off.

"What is going on?" Harry's voice finished.

I froze praying Liam was not going to follow, or even Louis for that matter, the fewer the better, "What nothing..." I spat out too fast.

"Sonni come on." Harry said louder; he must have gotten closer.

"Sonni..." Zayn paused, "how long?"

I wrapped my arms around me. Damen brushed up against my hips sense my distress, "Since the accident..." I said quietly, but I knew they heard me, because I was sandwiched between them tangled in their arms.

"Where's Liam?" I asked just enough for the three too hear.

"Still in the living room trying to calm Sam down. Does he know?"

I shake my head slowly.

"Know what?" just the voice I didn't want to hear.

Liam's POV

"I give up Louis you're on your own." I huffed walking into the kitchen leaving the two wrestling over Sam's phone.

"Sonni... How long?" I heard Zayn ask. I stayed out of sight.

"Since the accident..." Sonni barely spoke. I didn't have to think long to know what they were talking about.

I couldn't help, but feel a pang of jealousy. She trusted to boys but she didn't trust me?

"... Does he know."

I'm done, I need to know why, "Know what?"

All four of them stood silent,

"Liam..." Niall whispered.

"Can you guys go?" Sonni asked silently. They all stood there for a moment glancing between us before leaving to room to the two of us.

Sonni's POV

"What did you hear?" I asked my voice quiet.

"Just the end, why won't you tell me?" I could tell he moved till he was a few feet in front of me.

"Liam... I just can't okay?" I know he won't get it. I can't tell him, he'll leave me. He'll find someone who can really look him in the eyes. Someone who can complement his appearance instead of lying cause they don't really know. Someone who can cook and be alone without haven't to worry if they should or shouldn't do something. Someone who can find the things he loses even though they are practically right in front of him.

But I'm selfish; I need him, "Sonni do you know how upsetting it is to see your girlfriend talk about this huge secret with your best mates? Something that I know is tearing you apart from the inside, but you refuse to tell me for a reason I don't know. How am I supposed to feel?" Liam said his voice raising. I could hear anger in it, but I could tell he was hurt.

"Liam, that's not what I wanted to do." My voice a little louder than before.

"What is it then? Cause right now it looks like you don't trust me. You trust Niall and Zayn and Harry, but not your own freaking boyfriend. And it just sucks to watch you suffer and I can't do anything to help because you won't let me."

"I didn't just tell them! Niall figured it out himself and Zayn and Harry just now over heard! I didn't want anyone to know, but Sam and Aunty! They were the only ones who were supposed to know I am blind!" I shouted before freezing.

"Sonni I-" He started off much quieter than his shouting before, but I didn't let him finish. I made my way out of the room with Damen by my side as fast as possible.

"Where are you going?" I heard Sam ask.

"Out." I said, although the room was quieter than it should be. They must have heard me shout.

"Sonni-" Sam started.

"I want too be alone!" I was nearly in tears, but I can't show anything.

I heard a shuffle behind me as I pulled the door open.

"Sonni wait." Liam called behind me. His hand grabbed my arm.

I tugged my arm out as Damen lead me threw the door and I slammed it behind me. I don't know where I was going, but I couldn't be here around them anymore.
