-Niall's POV-
I feel so bad for Emily, she must be in a lot of pain. I've spent the last few days with her, and I'm going to be there today with her while she's in the surgery, I hope everything is going to be okay, I keep telling her that, but I'm scared, what if its not. But I don't want to put those thoughts in her head. She's still asleep, and we don't have to be to the hospital for another few hours so her mom told me we could let her sleep a little longer. I call Greg, he told me he wanted to be here today before she left.
"Hey bro, we have to leave in a few hours, she's not up yet though." I say before he can even say hi.
"Okay, should I come over now then, or wait for her to get up?" He asks.
"We'll she should be getting up any minute, but you can wait for me to text you if you want." I don't actually know when she's got to be up.
"Why don't I just come over, it'll surprise her." He loves her like his little sister, and I know he feels bad about what happened, he thinks its his fault. But it's not. It's my fault, I shouldn't even have let her come, if she wasn't there nothing would have happened to her, it's my job to keep her safe. I wish she would just wake up so we could go and get it over with. Greg was over a few minutes later, he uses her room door too. I think we could come over whenever, and leave whenever and her parents wouldn't even know we were ever here.
"Hey, I brought her these, should I save them for after the surgery?" They were a few flowers he must have picked from outside.
"Yeah, leave them in the kitchen, and you can bring them when you come to see her later." I decided.
"Okay" he bolted out of her room and was back within seconds.
"Greg, you know it's not your fault, it's mine, I should have pushed him away as soon as I saw him leaping toward her." We kept talking in her room waiting for her to wake up.
"Niall, I think we know we both are responsible for this, and it makes me feel horrible." He pats my back.
"But Greg, no matter who's fault it is it shouldn't have happened, were both supposed to be watching out for her and keeping her safe." Then Emily's mom walked in, looking suspicious.
"Good morning boys, I'm sorry for listening, but were you just talking about what happened to Emily?" I could feel my face getting seriously red. I couldn't lie to her.
"Um, yes and Emily and I were planning to tell you about this, but after the surgery, so I think we should talk about this somewhere else" We went down to the living room, Ems would never be able to walk down here alone.
"So the three of us went to the park the other day to talk to dean, her old boyfriend, because he wanted to talk to her. But we didn't want her to go alone." I explained to her nervously.
"But how did she really get hurt?" She asked.
"We'll we were by the water talking to dean, just me and Greg at first, then Emily came over, and we tried to stop him, but he pushed past us and pushed Emily into the water, and she landed on the rock, so we weren't totally Lying to you. I'm really sorry." Now I felt really bad.
"and please don't tell Emily that you know, I don't want to worry her anymore than she already is."
"I think that's a good idea, and thank you for telling me the truth Niall." She seemed a bit relived, I wonder if she knew we were lying to her? Whatever, she knows the truth now. We all went back up to see Emily, wether she was up or not she had to be, we had to leave in 45 minutes.
"Time to get up sleepyhead" her mom whispered in her ear.
"Come on Ems, you have a visitor." I whispered into her ear.
