You woke up to your phone's loud ringing. You picked up the phone while wondering who's calling you so early in the morning.
"(F/N)-chaaaan! YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!" your best friend yelled over the phone.
You shot up and looked at the time realizing that you only have 30 minutes to get to school. You hung up the phone without a reply, got ready in 10 minutes, and rushed through the front door. Luckily, school was only a 15 minute walk.
You arrived to the front gates of your school at a loss of breath as you ran the entire way, making it to your destination in 10 minutes instead of 15. You walked to your locker before heading to your first class, greeting familiar faces along the way, but you still didn't see the two faces you were looking for. Finally, with your locker in sight, you saw the two people you were searching for waiting there.
"Good morning (F/N)-chan! How was your run?" Your annoying best friend, Oikawa, smirked.
"Shut up Oikawa-kun." You said while rolling your eyes. Your turned to the person beside him ignoring Oikawa's whining, "Good morning Iwaizumi-kun."
"Good morning (F/N)." Iwaizumi replied with a slight smile.
You returned the smile as a slight red tint appeared on your cheeks. Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and you have known each other since you were kids and were best friends ever since. Though, you always had some sort of crush towards Iwaizumi. Oikawa was just your annoying best friend.
"C'mon (F/N)-chan! We're going to be late to class!" Oikawa grabbed your hand and pulled you to class.
"Slow down Trashykawa! You're going to rip (F/N)'s hand off!" Iwaizumi following behind.
Luckily, this year all three of you were in the same class unlike last school year. Last school year, only you and Oikawa were in the same class, and you felt like you grew a bit distant with Iwaizumi since you didn't really spend time with him.

School ended for the day. Oikawa, Iwaizumi, and you walked out of your classroom.
"Is there volleyball practice today?" You said and yawned afterwards.
"We're lucky if we get a day with no practice." Iwaizumi sighed. "Are you going to stay and watch today?"
"I think I'm going to go ho-" You felt so tired and wanted to take a nap, but Oikawa cut you off.
"Of course she's going to watch Iwa-chan!" Oikawa said, secretly nudged you with his elbow, and winked at you. "You and (F/N)-chan haven't seen much of each other too!"
You glared at Oikawa, and turned towards Iwaizumi just giving him a reassuring smile.
"Uh okay, well let's get going before coach yells at us if we're late." Iwaizumi said, smiling back at you and turning around to head to the gym. Iwaizumi led the three of you, and you and Oikawa were about 3 feet behind.
"I wanted to go home and nap!" You said whisper-yelling to Oikawa so Iwaizumi couldn't hear.
"Oh come on (F/N)-chan! You know you missed us... especially Iwa-chan." Your best friend smirked.
You slapped the back of Oikawa's head. "OWWW!!!"
Iwaizumi turned his head back towards the two of you. "Are you guys okay?"
"Don't worry Iwa-chan. I was just teasing (F/N)-chan a bit." Oikawa grinned as you all stepped into the gym.
Before you could hit him again, he ran off to the boy's locker room.
"I guess I should catch up with him." Iwaizumi shook his head. "I'll talk to you after practice (F/N)."
You sat at one of the corners of the gym. You were kind of embarrassed as you thought that Iwaizumi might've heard Oikawa teasing you, but it didn't seem like he did.
Oikawa knew about your crush on Iwaizumi since you all were in middle school. He found out on Valentine's Day because you were working up the courage to give Iwaizumi some handmade chocolates you made with your mom, but ended up crying. Oikawa found you and after finding out what was wrong, he offered to help by giving Iwaizumi a Valentine's Day card. So that way, both of you had something to give him, and not just you. Ever since then, Oikawa knew about your crush and was always trying to find ways to encourage you to confess your "undying love" for him as he likes to call it. Though, you all are already in your third year, and you still haven't confessed. You were too scared that Iwaizumi wouldn't return the same feelings and that your friendship wouldn't be the same.
