It's now Thursday, the day before the party.

The past couple of days have been the same. You walk to school with your two best friends, go to class, watch their volleyball practice, and then walk home with them. All the boys on the team are really excited for the party because they would mention it often. I mean they did say this will be the biggest party of the year.

You woke up to your alarm. You grabbed your phone weakly as you were still sleepy and silenced the alarm. You looked through your notifications and noticed a bunch of texts from Oikawa.

Bestie Oikawa
Good morning (F/N)-chan!
I won't be walking with you and Iwa-chan to school today...
I forgot I have a doctor's appointment!
But don't worry, I'll be at school in time for lunch! Don't miss me too much 😚
Also... make the most of your time with Iwa-chan! He already knows I won't be joining you both. 😉

Morning Oikawa-kun!
You're so annoying...
But good luck with your appointment I guess 🙄

After replying, you got up and got ready. You were kind of nervous since you and Iwaizumi haven't really been alone together in a long time. You showered and slipped on your school uniform. You had some extra time so you decided to fix your hair differently today. You put half of your hair up with braids, doing a cute simple updo.

Knock knock.

"Oh, that must be Iwaizumi-kun!" You felt excited.

You headed downstairs to open the door.

"Good morning Iwaizumi-kun!" You gestured for him to come inside.

"Good morning (F/N)."

"Let me just get my things upstairs and we can go."

Iwaizumi nodded and you ran upstairs to get your stuff.

Iwaizumi's POV
Iwaizumi walked inside of (F/N)'s house. He hasn't been inside her house in a long time... maybe since their first year.

He nodded as she said she was going to get her things upstairs. Her hair seemed different today, but he really didn't get to see it well since she turned quickly. She ran up the stairs and almost tripped. Iwaizumi quietly laughed because it was kind of cute.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Hahaha, you saw that did you?" She giggled. "Yes, I'm okay!"

(F/N) disappeared into her room and quickly came back out, walking down the stairs.

She put on her shoes and then the two of them left her house.

(A/N: I don't want to put too much of Iwaizumi's POV just yet, but felt like I needed to here because it's been a lot of your POV and a little bit of Oikawa's thoughts.)

(Y/N) POV
You locked the front door and started walking to school with Iwaizumi.

"Did Oikawa text you too?" Iwaizumi asked.

"Yeah, he did. I hope his appointment goes well."

"He probably has a disease that makes him annoying. Maybe the doctor will be able to fix it."

You couldn't help but laugh at Iwaizumi's joke. He started laughing with you.

You enjoyed Iwaizumi's presence. "This is nice... just me and you." You realized what you said might be taken the wrong way. "I-I mean like I like when Oikawa-kun is also with us. I mean like... w-we just haven't spent much time together just you and me." You stuttered trying to explain.

"Haha, I know what you mean (F/N). It's been a while since we've hung out just the two of us." Iwaizumi responded as you sighed in relief.

"We also haven't spent a lot of time with one another because we were in different classes last year."

"Yeah, that and volleyball." He added.

You both started to talk about the memories you shared together along with Oikawa. "Oh, those were the days."

"Oh, tomorrow is Friday right?" You brought up.

"Yeah, the party is tomorrow. Are you still going to go?"

"Hmm... are you?"

"Yeah, I mean if I don't Crappykawa might whine all week." He laughed. "Also, I said I would pick you before we meet up with everyone at Oikawa's... well if you still want to go."

"Y-yeah, I'm still going. Thanks Iwaizumi-kun." You blushed. "I'm pretty excited about going. I haven't been to a party in a while... but I'm also nervous because I don't really know a lot of people from the other volleyball teams."

"Oh, don't worry (F/N). I'm sure Oikawa will introduce you to everyone since he's so social... or I can introduce you to people too."

"That would be great!"

"I'll probably stay with you most of the time anyways. I don't really socialize like Trashykawa... and uhm, we can spend more time together." He looked at you but quickly looked away.

You couldn't help but turn tomato red thinking about your long time crush being by your side all night and spending time with him. You couldn't find the words to reply, so you just gave him a nod and giggled.

He took your nod as an approval to his suggestion and smiled at you.

If you weren't excited about Friday yet, you sure as hell were now. I mean, spending all night with him at a party and finally confessing your feelings for him... the night just has to be perfect.

You both finally made it to school and walked over to class.

"Please take your seats students, let's begin class." Your instructor walked into class.

You and Iwaizumi took your seats and looked at each other, giving one another a smile.
