Many villages have been ruined. Not enough people to rebuild anymore.
The Governor relocates the survivors into a huge land not too far from the city.
Fei's men are digging up soils to create mud bricks on location.
Yang Yang has joined them. He is their supervisor.
They found weird looking black lumps after digging five meters depth.
They just toss the lumps aside and continue digging. More lumps have been found.
Yang Yang shows the black lumps to Fei. His Wifey is busy sipping tea under a tree.
He scratches his head. His face reddened. He glances at Fei.
They should have done it.
Their dating period has ended a long time ago
Fei never brought it up. Yang Yang doesn't know how he should ask for his rights to bed him.
The poor Barbarian has already showing signs of henpecked husband without his knowledge.
Fei sniffs the lump and looks away. This isn't a dried up poop.
He frowns when he burns it. His eyes bent into curving lines when he manages to lit it.
This is coal! Qing Su once showed me in the past. He said a merchant accidentally left it in the brothel. Never knew this land has such remarkable resources...
Fei stomps out the fire before an accident occurs. He dashes away afterwards. He needs to negotiate with the Governor.
He will buy the plot of land from the government in decent price.
The Governor doesn't agree at first. It takes time to relocate the future village to another plot of land. He has to change the whole village blueprint.
Fei asks, "I will built a stronger city wall. What do you say? No extra charge if you sell me this plot of land."
That is very tempting offer for him. Finally the Governor gave in.
Double citywalls sound magic for him.
The Governor says, "Three years free of taxes for your mud brick company if you built the second walls."
"Good. Let's sign an agreement letter."
Fei smirks. He got a coal mine now. It's no longer a dream to built a kiln. He could use coals to burn the mud bricks.
Ordinary kiln costs a lot of fund to buy firewood.
Fei will monopolize coal business. His kiln business shall have no competition in the field.
The land isn't too fertile here. Farming doesn't yield a lot of crops.
Many villagers are eager for work.
Fei employed them all. He paid them with foods instead of money. Two meals a day plus a little bit of salary.
Win and win solutions for both of them.
Strong male slaves dig up the soils to make the bricks.
Old men and women could make bricks easily.
Children are hired to separate the coals from dirt.
Work hard or stay hungry.
This phrase has been taught by Fei.
All his workers do their jobs without any complaint.
Fei hired some stone masons to build a huge kiln furnace. The Barbarians have no experience in making one.
