19. Betrayed

Shi Dan kicks the broken bricks in his rage. He screams angrily and his face is super red like ripened tomato.

"What do you mean failed?"

The workers lowered their heads. The villagers are responsible for brick making in Fei's factory.

The clay mixing is done by the slaves. The villagers don't know the right ratio. The bricks kept on breaking after firing.

Shen Xi rubs her body to him to persuade him.

She whispers, "Milord, don't be so mad. Let me investigate it. I'll make sure to get a good result."

Shen Xi smiles seductively while holding his arm. Leading him to leave the factory. She glares at those useless villagers before they leave.

The villagers sigh. They felt they have been scammed.

The factory manager would whip them when they made a mistake. Their puny wages got deducted whenever they failed to make bricks.

Fei has warned his slaves not to speak with Shen Xi or other people. He doesn't want the clay ratio got leaked.

A male slave scratches his head.

Shen Xi shows up with a basket of steamed buns. She looks more beautiful than usual with her delicate make ups and fancy dress.

The slave got soft heart. He tells her the ratio without further thinking.

Fei whips the male slave when he hears the news. He sold him back to slave trader.

The guy waits forever. Shen Xi never shows up to buy him back. In the end, he got betrayed by the woman he loved.

Shao Yang sighs when he leaves the slave market. He wants to buy He Dage.

Fei glances at him.
