'Guess you didn't cheat, but you're still a 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫.'
"I hate you, Sirius Black-" Carrie said, tears running down her face, as she looked right into Sirius' eyes.
Salty tears started pulling in his eyes as well, as he spoke. "Carrie, please I...

Another full moon fell over the castle full of wizards and witches, the first full moon of the new year. The night was dark, so gloomy that even Miss Norris with her dark fur and orange red eyes would not attract much attention.
But a small, reddish ray of sunshine, at the deepest end of the Highlands, declared that night, filled with howling, biting and scratching, as past and slowly tried to shake the day awake.
And so four boys with torn clothes, disheveled hair and deep blue eyes stumbled in the direction of the school and tried as best as possible to support their scarred friend, who tried in vain to stay upright and regain his composure.
"Damn, this was one tough night." Sirius halfly joked, trying to enlighten the silence of sighing and deep breaths.
There was one large scratch on Remus chest, which he had inflicted on himself, that was bleeding, but other than that there were just a few more slight grazes. None of the other three boys got injured badly as well, just a few bruises.
"No, but seriously, it defenitly went better than the last time."
"Believe me, turning at home is way worse than our worst nights here." Remus moaned in pain, breathing shakily. But he was right. Going home for the holidays was something the boy didn't particularly enjoy. Not because of his family, he loved his mother so much, he couldnt help but smile thinking about her caring behavior. However, going home also meant fullmoons and turning at home. In his hometown. In fear of hurting his lovedones in their own house. When Remus turned eleven his uncle decided to build him a safety place in the Lupin's garden in which he could easily turn in. A garden shed, enchanted, so that from the outside it looked like a neighbor-friendly storeroom, the walls of which were made of wood, and inside a concrete house which made it seem far bigger. That gave Remus a bit of security and certainty about his fate that night of the month, but still he couldn't and didn't want to get used to the fear that filled him when his mother led him into the little house with a concerned look and bolted the lock. The marauders often tried to convince him to let them help him even when he's at home, but he couldn't let his friends give up even more time and safety because of him. Staying with him in Hogwarts was already more than enough and more than Remus could've ever imagined.
,,We know Moony, we know. But now don't waste your breath and try to stay with us okay." James pleaded, while he lifted Remus' arm over his shoulder again and motioned for Peter to do the same.

,,Merlin, Remus are you okay?!" Carrie whisper-shouted into the dark of the night, hoping the wind wouldn't blow her words away but send it to the boy who was slowly starting to lose his consciousness.
She has been up for hours, waiting for the boys to come back on this full moon night. She wanted to be ready to help Remus and the boys if and how bad they were hurt. The thought of just visiting the boys in the infirmary in the morning did hit her mind, but she brushed it off pretty quickly. She was scared for Remus. And for Sirius who would be there to try and keep his best friends inner wolf in place. And James and Peter who would be risking themselves just to help their friend. Of course none of the marauders knew that she did, as Carrie didn't want them to try and stop her. Which they would have. Remus would have been the first to refuse as he didn't want Carrie to see him like this, scared that she would finally realize that he is some kind of monster.
Four heads snapped right into her direction, as they heard a very familiar voice calling for one of them.
,,Carrie? What are you doing here?" Sirius asked, as he stepped into the light flood of her candle that she brought with herself. He stared at her in a surprised yet adoring way. He could only imagine why she was here that night, but he was most certainly right and the thought of it warmed his heart like it was on fire. She was watching out for them once again. Watching out for him.
,,Unimportant, let me help you guys." Immediately shutting the explanation, as really didn't matter now, she took hold of Remus and motioned for the boys to lay him down. Looking down at her friends she silently gasped at the sight. His shirts was ripped into pieces, hanging very loose on his torso. Under the last fabric, that clung onto his body, Carrie was able to see many bloody cuts on the pale skin. There were bigger and smaller ones, spreading all over his appearance. As well as that, there was one little cut right from the corner of Remus' left eye, straight through his eyebrow. He will probably hate it, but no matter how painful it was, Carrie was sure that it would look really good later on.
,,Put him down, he's not gonna make it this way up to the hospital wing."
James and Peter did as they were told, as she seemed quite right about it, but James was quickly to panic. ,,But what do you suggest we do now? We have to get him up there."
,,Yes, but not like this. Let me close some of his wounds first. Those should get him couscous again when we reach the infirmary." Carrie got down to her knees besides Remus started mumbling a few spells that she learned while she was working with Madame Pomfrey for some weeks. They were simple, yet useful for acute injuries.
Slowly, some of the scratches started getting smaller, until they completely closed. Around this situation, three pairs of wide eyes were string at the little sparks of light, that came out of Carries wand and vanished as they touched the ripped shirt of Remus.
,,Now, don't just stand there, we gotta bring him to Pomfrey quickly. These spells might've worked on little things, but I can't fix the rest. Come on"
