-GHOST'S POV-
I pulled away From Marisbel's hug. I never heard of a Millwoun Fairy. I quickly take my knife out of my pocket and stare at the symbol on it. "Wait, Timothy Casket is my father. And he gave me this knife, is this your moms?" I ask handing it to her.
She inspects it and nods, immediately passing it back to me. We are standing in silence. "Are you being your real self, when your eyes are white?" Jess asks. Marisbel nods again.
My clothes aren't dry yet, and they are clinging to me. "Well I'm going to grab some breakfast as soon as I change," I say showing how I'm wet. "Wait why are we soaked in the first place?" Marisbel asks. "You guys wouldn't wake up so," Jess says looking guilty.
I laugh at how she blushes, it was probably her idea. I walk out and Jess is trying to stand up and get used to her crutches. This is her first time using them. I walk down the stairs into my room.
I change into my regular pair of Jeans and grey sweat-shirt. As I walk out I see Jess trying to get down the stairs, she failing. Every once in a while, she'll stumble. I can tell she'll end up falling.
I walk up behind her and pick her up. "Hey!" She says laughing. "You know your going to fall," I say as I hit the last step. "Yeah but I'll get back up," she says using her crutches to poke me. I laugh again and walk to the kitchen. Marisbel is nibbling a piece of burned bread, staring into space. Something is going on.
"What's up?" I say looking at her. Her head snaps up at me," Hm?" She asks. "What's with the thinking?" I say more carefully. "Oh, well um. Last night one of the fairies visited me while I was walking home. They said they are at war with the Pokemon Palace," she says looking down.
"The what?" Toast asks. "The Pokemon Palace, it's next to the Millwoun Forest, that's where I live. That's where all the Pokemon come from. They are trying to destroy us. Whenever you get rid of one Pokemon, not kill it, it appears back at the Palace and sent to war against us."
I nod and say," Shouldn't you help?" She nods and replies," most likely, I may need to go soon. One hour there equals one day in the 13th." A faint knock on the front door catches our attention. "I'll get it!" Jess says hoping over to the door. When she opens it a young boy with White eyes are standing in the door way. He squeals as he sees us.
"Thomas!" Marisbel says the same time her eyes turn white. "Marisbel!" He says scooting pass Jess. He runs over to her. "Thomas this is Johnny Ghost, Johnny Toast, and Jessica Daisy." She says pointing to us. Thomas waves at us looking back to Marisbel.
"We need you urgently!" He says jumping. "What?!" She says standing. "We are running low on fairies! We'll lose soon if we don't have help! Come on!" He says tugging her. She picks up her knife laying in the table. "I have to go guys, I should be back in a day, which is a month in the 13th. Bye!" She yelled running with him.
We all stand there shocked. Everything happened so quick. "So Marisbel went to go fight in a battle, for a month!" Jess shouts. I nod," I think so." She grabs a piece of bacon and sits down. I sit next to her, Toast leans on the counter. We are in silence.
Jess breaks the silence by saying," I'm going to attempt to change into new pair of PJs." She hops up and try's heading towards the stairs. I look at Toast before saying," I got this." I stand up and pick up Jess again, bringing her up the stairs," You know I can walk!" She says.
"No you can only with crutches," I say. I set her down, she walks away mumbling something. I laugh and head back down stairs. The phone rings, it's Marisbel. "Hey what the heck, you just disappeared on us," I say.
"Hey I'm sorry, it's just Im about to go into the portal. I'll see you tomorrow, it'll feel like a month. So I'm sorry it's just ever since the underworld I've been thinking about my pass. I need to help my people. If I don't come back, which I will, make sure you guys are k!"
That's where the phone ends. I fall into shock, "Who was that Sir?" Toast asked. "Marisbel, she wanted to apologize. She'll be back tomorrow. And make sure we are okay if she doesn't come back." I explain. He looks down and walks out.
I sit down on the couch. I watch TV till I'm startled by these loud thumps coming from the stairs. I stand up and quickly look at the stairs, to see Jess the ground. I run over and she's grabbing her leg," You maybe we're right." She says crying. "Goodness Jess, I told you you'll fall!" I say picking her up and setting her on the couch.
"I didn't fall, I think I was pushed," she said. "What?" I ask. "I kept hearing giggling so I came down to get you. When I was a the top step I felt something push me," she says. I grab the ghost detector off the counter, it's beeping crazy. "Your right, something is up there," I say looking up. "Let me see," she says pulling the detector out of my hands.
She looks at it and follows my look upstairs. I slowly start tip-toeing up the stairs. This is what I do, this is my job. Why am I frightened? I mean it's no different from other times, except it hurt my friend. Casket laughs in my head.
IF YOUR THAT WORRIED ABOUT IT...
'This is my job I do this all the time'
The laughing cools down a bit. As I hit the top step, I open the door to Jess's room. And I gasp at what I see.
