A long day on set

Melissa's POV

I had just finished all my scenes for today and I was so excited to go home and relax with my amazing girlfriend.

I go to my trailer to finally get out of my uncomfortable yet awesome suit. I change into some sweatpants and a hoodie, grab my car keys and say goodbye and thank you to the crew.

I arrive at my apartment building and I walk up a couple flight of stairs before I finally reach me and Katie's shared apartment. I grab my keys out of my purse and open the door to see my loving girlfriend reading on the sofa with a cup of tea in her hands. I take off my shoes and put them away then I take my bag and place it in our bedroom.

I walk up to Katie and wave my hand in front of her face and she looks at me startled "Darling you scared me when did you get here?" Katie puts her book down while she's talking. "I got here a few minutes ago i'm not suprised that you didn't hear me" I say walking up to the pantry to find something to eat.
"How was your day love tell me all about it" says Katie while standing up and giving me a quick kiss. "My day was very exhausting and exciting i had a lot of flying scenes to shoot". " I thought you liked flying scenes you said they were 'so fun and awesome'". " i do enjoy them but after three hours of being hanged on a bunch of wires it gets very exhausting" Katie walks up to me and kisses my pout i didn't know i had until she made it go away. " well how about we order food and watch movies? " " i would love that " i say while walking up and hugging my thoughtful girlfriend very tightly.

time skip

We finished eating supper and then I took a shower while Katie did the dishes even though I protested she still won of course. I put on some comfortable grey sweatpants and a navy blue oversized shirt on and tie my hair in a messy bun.

I walk towards Katie who is still doing dishes and I wrap my arms around her waist and kiss her bare shoulder while she starts laughing at my need to always be near her. "Not that I don't enjoy all this but I need to go take a shower. " I whimper at the loss of touch and drag myself to the sofa and turn on a random channel while I wait for Katie to come back to me.

Katie's POV

I get out of the shower and put on a pair of navy blue sweat pants and a black tank top. I walk to the living room and see Melissa curled up in a little ball half asleep on the sofa. I lay on top of her and kiss her cheeks, forehead, chin, nose and finally her lips. I go to pull back so I can grab a blanket and cuddle next to Melissa but she whimpers and pulls me closer. " Darling i'm just going to get a blanket i'll be right back " " promise? " " I promise " I kiss her forehead and get up to go get a blanket from our room and as I promised I came back to her in one minute. " I missed you " Melissa says while I climb on the couch to lay next to her " Mel I wasn't even gone a minute " " I know but every day I don't get to kiss you or hug you I hate that we have to keep our relationship a secret " Melissa says while she looks up to me with her puppy dog eyes just like Kara's. " I know I know it's hard for me too but i'm not sure how everyone's going to handle this and i would like to give it a bit more time if that's alright with you " I say while cupping her cheek and softly rubbing my thumb over her cheek. " Yeah that's alright it's probably for the best anyways " Melissa says with a reassuring smile.

We watched two movies but Melissa fell asleep on my lap halfway through the second one while I was playing with her hair. After the second movie is done I carried Melissa and put her down on her side of the bed. " goodnight my love " I whisper in her ear and kiss her forehead before turning off the lamp beside me. I lay done turning my back towards Melissa and then I hear her mumble " goodnight katie ".
