Katie's birthday

Melissa's pov:

I am currently walking around down town trying to find a perfect gift for Katie. Tomorrow is her birthday and I have many surprises planned. Since the incident a while ago i'm trying to move passed it and pretend like it never happened and Katie's birthday is a great distraction. I walk pass this jewelry store and the thought of proposing crosses my mind. We never really talked about it but I assume that she would want to get married one day, maybe that day is soon. I shrugged off my thoughts and kept walking. So far from my shopping I have one of her favorite desserts, rose petals and a couple candles. I'm planning on having a romantic supper and possibly propose? I don't know. Proposing wasnt in my plan but now that I think of it I really want Katie to be my wife.

Katie's pov:

Today i'm on set for the whole day I have a bunch of scenes with Andrea Brooks (Eve Tesmacher). My birthday is tomorrow and I am throwing a party tonight and tomorrow Mel said she has a suprise for me which I am very very excited about I just hope it's nothing to expensive I don't like it when Melissa wastes her money on me. I rather thoughtful surprises compared to the expensive surprises.
I'm currently in my trailer reading one of my favorite books 'lady from the black lagoon' waiting to get called on set.

Mel's pov:

I make my way back to the jewelry store I saw a while ago just to look at the rings i'm still not sure if i'll propose yet. I walk in the store and the first thing I see is this beautiful ring it has a small emerald green stone. It's nothing to flashy so i'm sure Katie will like it. She doesn't like anything too big or expensive. I make the quickest decision of my live and buy the ring immediately. There was something about this ring that felt right.

Time skip
Still in Mel's pov:

After my shopping I hurried back to our apartment to get ready for Katie's party. It was going to be at a one of everyone's favorite restaurant. I take a shower and put on a strapless sparkly dark blue dress and straighten my hair. I put on light makeup and then head my way to the restaurant before Katie. It wasn't a suprise party we just decided to get Katie to arrive last.

Once I arrived to the restaurant I helped set up a couple of the decorations we wanted to put up. The people that are there already are Chyler, Azie, Nicole, Jesse, David and some of other cw members and some of Katie's close friends.

Katie's pov:

I was running late to my own party how amazing. I rushed to the apartment and got ready quickly I am wearing a off the shoulders fitted black dress that showed a little bit of cleavage and I decided to put my hair in a messy low side bun and for makeup I just kept it natural. I went to my car and started driving to the adress Mel gave me.

Once I arrived and parked my car, I started walking towards the doors. As soon as I was about to open the door Mel appeared and she was the most beautiful girl and she had the most mesmerizing smile ever . "Are you ready for your suprise miss Mcgrath." She said as she locked arms with me and lead me into the restaurant. "I suppose so". We went to the back of the restaurant and I see all of my friends and I can't help but feel overjoyed.
I say hi to all of them and a smile never left my face.

Once i've said hi to everyone we all got seated and started talking. Melissa was on my right, Chyler on my left, Nicole in front of me, Azie on Nicole's right and Mehcad on Nicole's left. The rest were on the other end chatting amongst themselves. While I was talking to Nicole I feel Melissa grab my hand and interlock our fingers. She squeezed my hand three times which is our way of saying i love you. I try my best to not freak out on public over this what may look like small gesture but makes my heart do backflips.

After the meal and one or two or three drinks everyone was getting ready to leave. I say goodbye and thank everyone for coming and once everyone left I turn around and I see Melissa standing there looking perfect. I walk up to her and grab her hands in mine. "Thank you for this whole night" I say in a whisper so just her can hear me. She reaches for my cheek and starts stroking it. Before I get the chance to say anything she goes down on one knee. I gasp and bring my hands over my mouth, I feel tears start to form. She begins. "Katie It's always been you. From the moment i've laid eyes on you I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. You've helped me through the most difficult times in my life and I can't thank you enough for it. I love you and all I want is to call you my beautiful wife. So Katherine Elizabeth Mcgrath-" I chuckle at her saying my full name but quickly gesture for her to continue. "Will you marry me?" A squeal comes out of my mouth. "Yes, yes, yes!" She stands up and I kiss her so passionately. Music starts playing and we start swaying while holding each other and staring into each other's eyes. She wipes my tears that were on my cheek and kisses it. "I think it's safe to say this was my best birthday ever"
