A/N: just so no one gets confused this chapter is back to present time!!
Melissa's POV:
I wake up to an empty bed and I pat the empty cold spot confused as to why Katie isn't there but I quickly remember she was meeting an old friend from Ireland. I get up and walk to the kitchen to get my coffee ready and I see a note from Katie.
Good morning my love, i'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up but I promise to see you later I don't know what time depending on how it goes with my friend but i'll text you later. Have a great day darling, I love you and have fun supergirl ;)
I can't help but smile at her letter she's so sweet and caring ugh i'm so in love with her. I start my cofffee and go back to the bathroom to get ready. Once i'm finally ready and have my coffee I go down to the underground parking lot and get to my car. I drive all the way to set and start my work day. I go to my little office and see that today I have a couple flying scenes, a scene with Chyler and a scene with all the superfriends except for Katie, this is going to fun day.
I had just finished all my flying scenes of the day and next I had one scene with Chyler. I go to my dressing room to put on normal clothes and get out of my uncomfortable suit. As soon as i'm done with my hair and makeup I go to find Chyler. I spot Chyler and run to her almost tripping because of my heels. "Hey Chy are you ready to shoot" I say with a very excited voice. "Hell yeah!" we continue our small conversation until we get called to set. We walk towards my loft set and get ready.
We finished our scene after an hour or so and I receive an email saying the rest of my scenes have been cancelled today. I walk over to my trailer with Chyler and start getting ready to head home. "Hey why wasn't Katie here today?" Chyler asks me. "Oh she was meeting one of her old friends from Ireland." "hm interesting" Chyler said sounding a bit odd "I need to get home bye Chy!" I walk towards my car and start driving home. There was only a little traffic so I made it home in 25 minutes.
I go to unlock the door and I can hear two people laughing. I cautiously open the door and see Katie and another woman on the couch laughing with a glass of wine. The woman was sitting very close to Katie and practically flirting. Katie doesn't notice me right away so I put my bag down and don't say anything. I walk to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and that's when Katie finally noticed. This was usually strange of Katie because every time I would come home she would usually be by my side in a matter of seconds. "Darling you're home!?" Katie says while making her way to me with the woman standing close behind her. "Yea I just got home I didn't want to interrupt your conversation." I say trying to act like I wasn't about to burst out with jealousy. "Um Mel I would like you to meet my dear friend Elizabeth and Elizabeth meet my girlfriend Melissa." I put my hand out expecting Elizabeth to shake it but instead I get a dirty look from her. "Well it's nice to meet you, i'm going to head upstairs and work." I say rather coldly. I start walking up the stairs when I hear Katie tell Elizabeth that she'll be right back.
I go to my home office and sit at my desk to start working like I said and I feel Katie's presence behind me. I turn around and there she is leaning against the door. "Mel, what's wrong" She says in a caring voice. "N-nothing is wrong everything is fine. Now if you'll excuse me I have a lot to do." I say in another cold tone. Katie walks over to me and kisses my cheek and says "Alright then I don't believe you but don't work too hard I love you." I simply don't respond and let Katie go back downstairs with her friend.
Time skip
Still in Melissa's POV
After four hours of them laughing and talking I finally hear Katie and Elizabeth say their goodbyes and the door closes shortly after. I get out of bed and head to the bathroom before she sees me. I slowly brush my teeth trying to avoid facing Katie. After 20 minutes of doing whatever in the bathroom Katie knocks on the door. "Mel can we talk" she says in a low whisper. "There's nothing to talk about" "Melissa I know when you're lying so open the door or i'll open it myself." I sigh knowing that she's more than capable of kicking down the door. I unlock the door and slowly open it to reveal my red puffy eyes. Katie immediately pulls me in a hug and I back away before she gets the chance. I know i'm being harsh on her but there's something up with that woman. Katie had a shocked expression at my action she backs away and heads over to our closet to get ready for bed.
I kept hiding in the bathroom checking every social media that I have on my phone until I hear Katie gently knock. "I need to use the bathroom." She says quietly. "One second" I get out of the bathroom looking at the floor trying to avoid eye contact. Katie grabs my arm and makes me turn around to face her. She wiped my visible tears and looks at me sincerely. After a moment of us staring at each other in comfortable silence she let's go of me and goes to the bathroom. I get in bed and grab my book to start reading.
After I quickly read two chapters Katie steps in the room and slides in bed next to me. I continue reading as if I didn't notice her. I feel her staring at me and I couldn't stand it anymore. I turn around and a small smile appeared on her face. "I'm begging you talk to me." She says in a shaky voice as if she's going to break down and cry. I give up. I have to talk to her. "I'm jealous" I mumble. "Please repeat that I didn't understand you." "I'm jealous" I say a little bit more clearly. "Darling you have nothing to be jealous of, you are the love of my life. Melissa Marie Benoist it's you and it will always be you." I smile ear to ear at her speech. I lean in and kiss her with so much passion. We pull apart because air is needed sadly. "I'm sorry I got jealous, I should've trusted you" I say trying not to cry. "Hey it's okay just next time when you feel jealous or anything talk to me okay?" I nod quickly and pull her in for a tight embrace. Katie whispers in my ear "Now i'm going to show you how much you're mine"
