Beach Day

Katie's Pov

I woke up before Melissa and turn around to see that it's 8:30am. Today we had a day off set which was very much needed for me and Mel. I get out of bed quietly without waking Melissa up thankfully and go to get dressed. As soon as i'm dressed I walk back into our room and crawl onto Mel and start kissing her face.

Melissa's Pov

My eyes flutter open as soon as I feel Katie on me. "Goodmorning love" I say as I lock eyes with the love of my life. "Goodmorning darling what do you want to do today?" She says with her irish accent slipping. "Hmm how about a beach day" I say grinning like a five year old. "Sure that sounds fun" I couldn't help but smile I get up and hug her very tightly.

We decided to walk to the beach because it was only a few minutes away from our apartment. I can't help but stare at Katie she was so beautiful. "I can feel you staring at me" Katie says while looking at me. "I can't help myself you're so perfect" I say still staring at her and she kissed my cheek. "This feels nice I can hold your hand and kiss you in public" She says. "hmm it does feel nice" I reply.

We arrive at the beach and we set up for the day. "Katieeee wanna go in the water with me?" "Um I  think i'll just stay here and read" She says while I give my best Kara Danvers pout. She sees my pout and immediately agrees. I take off my beach coverup to reveal a black bathing suit and Katie does the same and she's wearing a green bathing suit. I drag her to the water and we keep walking until the water is at our necks.

Katie's Pov

When we get pretty far into the water I turn to face Melissa and wrap my legs around her waist and put my arms around her neck. She wraps her arms around my waist to hold me up. I lean in and kiss her softly but passionately. She returns the kiss and I melt in her embrace. I pull away for air and say  "I love you" "I love you too so so much" I smile at her answer and rest my forehead on her shoulder as she caresses my cheek.

After 15 minutes I start to get cold and see Melissa shiver. I suggest we go back and Mel quickly agrees. Once we're back we wrap ourselves in our own towels and start talking about supergirl. Once we're finish our very long conversation about all sorts of topics we see that the sun is setting. I wrap my arm around Melissa's waist and she lays her head on my shoulder and together we watch the sunset. "Do you want to take a picture for your social media gadgets thingys" I say "No I just want to enjoy the moment" she says while giving me a quick peck.

We start walking back to our apartment right before it gets too dark. Once we arrived I get out of my swim suit and put on a pair of shorts and sweatpants and Melissa does the same after me. While Melissa is changing I start cooking dinner and when i'm almost done I feel Melissa's arm wrap around my waist and her chin on my shoulder. "Why hello darling" "hiii love" "I'm almost done supper would you mind setting up the table please" Melissa nods and heads to get the utensils.

After we ate, me and Melissa went to bed and I decided to read a little while Melissa checks her socials or whatever she does on her phone. "Oh god" I hear Melissa gasps "what's wrong darling" "Paparazzi must've found us because there's pictures of us in the water all over instagram" she says a little disappointed "Hm well it doesn't really matter now that we're out in public but it sure is disappointing that they'res paparazzi everywhere." I say trying to comfort her a little "Yeah you're right" Mel says sighing. "We should probably go to sleep it's getting late and we have to be on set tomorrow" "hmm goodnight Katie" "Goodnight Mel" I turn to the side and turn off me bedside lamp and Mel does the same. I feel Melissa move closer to me and wrap her arm around my waist. I put my arm around her neck and start playing with her hair."I love you" I hear Melissa mumble. "I love you too"
