Bad usually wasn't one for bars.

They were always sensory Hell. Too crowded, too loud, too bright or dark. There was never a fair middle with that.

The place always felt dirty no matter how many times he'd watch the bartenders clean up, the drinks were gross and watered down, and every bar always smelled like grease and body odor.

So Bad did his best to avoid bars. Until he met Skeppy.

Skeppy thrived on going out. Clubbing and going out with crowds were his equivalent to Bad staying at home with the dogs and watching movies. That's how he felt most comfortable and got his energy.

And Bad wouldn't always go out with Skeppy. Skeppy understood Bad was more introverted and would respect when the other didn't want to go out. But he'd be ecstatic when Bad did go with him.

Tonight was one of those instances.

Bad was sat at the bar, sipping at his Kamikaze, and watching Skeppy dance and talk. He really was in his element.

They'd been here for a while, a few hours, and Bad was on his second drink. He'd ask for water after this one. Hangovers suck.

Skeppy came skipping over as Bad set his glass down, all smiles and buzz. Like a bee whose had too much honey.

"Hey, handsome." Skeppy complimented, standing in front of Bad and leaning on his things.

Bad laughed. "Hello, Skeppy." Bad pet the other's hair, turning to the bar. Skeppy hopped up on the stool next to Bad, leaning on the bar and calling over the bartender.

"You guys got any Pink Brittany?" Skeppy asked over the music.

The bartender shook her head. "No sir, sorry."

Skeppy waved it off. "That's fine. A Manhattan will do." The bartender nodded and took off to make Skeppy's drink.

Skeppy looked at Bad, who sipped at his drink.

"Did it hurt?" Skeppy started, smiling like a huge dork at his companion. Bad quirked an eyebrow and set his drink down.

"Did what hurt?" Bad asked back.

"When you fell from Heaven." Skeppy gave a toothy grin. Bad chalked this up to Skeppy being high off synergy alone, because he hasn't touched a thing since getting here.

Bad simply laughed and shook his head, taking another drink from his Kamikaze.

Skeppy's drink arrived. The younger taking a big drink the moment it hit the counter, then cringing at the slightly tart taste. Bad snorted and set his now empty glass down, calling over the bartender and asking for water.

Skeppy smirked at Bad, and the older took notice.

"Do you believe in love at first sight, or do I need to walk by you again?"

Bad almost choked on his water, slamming the glass down to cough and glared at Skeppy. Skeppy simply smiled proudly.

"What is up with you?" Bad asked with a chuckle.

"Nothing, I was just wondering if you had an extra heart. Because mine has been stolen."

Bad put his face in his palms, leaning on the bar. "Oh my goodness, Skeppy." He groaned out.

"Bad, Bad. If nothing lasts forever, will you be my nothing?" Skeppy giggled.

Bad looked up, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Skeppy took a moment to ask for a refill. Bad appreciated the temporary silence.

"Oh! Hey, Bad, feel my shirt." Skeppy leaned over and offered a shoulder to Bad. The elder rolled his eyes and felt the polyester blend.

"It's made from boyfriend material." Skeppy winked.

Bad positively lost it. He threw his head back and laughed behind the hands he'd clamped over his mouth. Skeppy took notice to how Bad's eyes crinkled in the corners, how his cheeks flushed bright red as he struggled to breathe. Skeppy didn't think he could fall anymore in love with this man.

"There must be something wrong with my eyes... I can't take them off of you." Skeppy said, the most gentle smile highlighting his features. Bad calmed down and smiled back at him.

"You have some nerve flirting with a taken man." Bad said, picking up his water and taking a drink.

"Are you now? Where's your partner?" Skeppy watched Bad's Adam's Apple bop as the elder drank.

"He," Bad set his glass down, "is right," he picked up Skeppy's hand, "here." Bad put Skeppy's hand over his heart.

Skeppy breathed, speechless as he felt Bad's heart beat. His palm becoming warmer than usual. Not even a corny pickup line floating around his short circuited brain.

"I love you." Skeppy whispered, looking at Bad.

Bad leaned over and put a kiss on Skeppy's lips. Bad could taste the Manhattan from earlier. Sweet and dark.

They parted and Bad rested his forehead against Skeppy's. A mischievous smile curled his lips up.

"If you and I were socks," Bad began. Skeppy couldn't even stop him, "We'd be the perfect pair."

"Oh my god it sounds so cheesy coming from you." Skeppy giggled and pushed Bad's face away.

"And it sounded good from you?" Bad snarked and picked up his water.

"Yes because I'm me and you love me." Skeppy pointed out.

Bad rolled his eyes as he sipped his water. "Sure, Skeppy. Sure."
