A Witch Hunt

Chapter 2

The black Impala stands out as it drives down the small street of Leavenworth, Washington. 

"What are we even looking for here?" asks Dean as he pulls into the parking lot of a motel right off the main road. 

The brothers unlock their motel door, which feels way too natural for being a different room every week. They drop their few belongings they have on the two single beds and sit down at the table, beers in their hands. 

Sam sits staring at his laptop, "I haven't the slightest clue what we have here, but I know it's something." 

"Well, you better get to finding. I didn't drive all the way to Washington for a deadbeat case," he says as he takes a long drink of his beer. 

They sit at the table for a while when Sam sits up saying "okay, I found something! So, I went looking into some hospital and death records and it seems that the victims are dying from pneumonia, not a cold. We got what looks like eleven people, of different ages and races, checking into the hospital and suddenly drop dead in just a few hours. It seems that the deaths happen every year. The victims all die in the same month, for the past eight years." 

"Great, so we have a monster, that is yet to be determined, with a body count above thirty. Why have no hunters come here yet? This has killed too many people." 

"Maybe it's just because it's a small town with people dying from pneumonia. It's not that unusual but I'll keep looking. We should probably go to the morgue to look at the most recent bodies," Sam says as he gets up and pulls his suit out from his bag. 

Dean goes over and does the same. "FBI agents right- or wanna be something else today?" he asks jokingly as he looks at his little brother and gets the box of fake IDs out of the bag. 

"Ha, let's stick with FBI." "Okay, Agent Douglas," Dean says handing Sam a badge. 

Sam puts his badge in his pocket and walks out the door with Dean following. They slide into the car and Dean starts the engine and pulls out of the lot and heads to the town morgue.
