They drive down her street, slowing down as they go to see if Mrs. Kennedy is home. They see her walk out of the front door and slip into her car.
Dean speeds up, so they won't be spotted, and once he meets the end of the road, does a U-turn and heads back to the house. They see that the car is gone and pull into the driveway.
The brothers get out of the Impala and walk along the house to the back door.
"I got this," Sam says as he pulls out his lock-pick kit.
His brother steps back as Sam kneels down and unlocks the door, a trade he had mastered by the age of seven.
Sam loads the tools back into their case and sticks them in his coat pocket as Dean walks into the house.
They both make their way through the mud room and find themselves in the kitchen.
"Let's go take a look at those books in the foyer you saw earlier," Sam says softly, following his brother deeper into the empty house.
Dean bends over to grab the leather bound books sitting on the bottom shelf of the table. He tosses one of the books to his brother, and flips through another. Dean sits on the arm of the couch, doing his best to make out the Latin.
"They sound like spells," Sam tells his brother as he grabs the third book.
Dean closes his book and looks up at his brother, "Well if she's a witch, where is the rest of 'witch stuff'? I mean, she's gotta have more than three Latin books."
Sam sets his book back on the table, "let's check out the rest of the house, and I think I saw a shed in the back."
Dean agrees, and heads down the hallway. Sam does the same, but to a different part of the house.
After about fifteen minutes of looking through Mrs. Kennedy's belongings, the brothers meet back up in the kitchen.
"Anything?" Dean asks, leaning against the counter.
"Nothing," replies Sam, "no witch like things. No sign or even proof of her husband, and Maison's room hasn't been touched."
Dean closes his eyes for a second, and lets out a sigh, "okay, let's go look in the shed, I mean there has to be something here."
They walk out the back door and make their way to the shed in the back of the lot.
The brothers reach the shed to find it heavily locked.
Dean reaches to pick the lock when he starts to cough badly and falls to his knees, not able to breathe.
"Dean are you okay?" Sam asks as he kneels next to his brother and looks over his shoulder to make sure no one is there.
Dean sits, unable to speak, so Sam takes matters into his own hands by standing and pulling out his gun.
He shoots the lock and kicks the shed door open.
"Come on Dean," he says as he walks his brother into the shed; which is larger than it looks.
Sam sets Dean on the floor to examine the room. "Dean, we got her. Look at all this," he says as he holds up some spells and hex bags.
Sam walks deeper into the room as Dean continues coughing on the floor by the door.
The younger brother turns his back to his brother to examine more miscellaneous items when he hears a crash. But instead of checking on it, he assumes it is Dean trying to stand so he doesn't turn to look.
"Sammy," Dean says in a scratchy voice.
Sam, hearing the panic in his brother's voice, quickly turns around to find Dean with a gun to his head.
