Four weeks later
Tiffany POV
"Oh my goodness he is so cute. Looking just like his mama." My mom laughed while kissing his cheeks.
"Thank you."
I smiled watching them interact with each other.
"You're welcome. So how you feel?"
"What you mean?"
"I mean how do you feel being a mother and all. Tell me, I wanna know." She asked putting the baby in the bassinet.
"I don't know. I guess it just feel like I have my own personal little shadow you know. It's like whenever I leave he's knows I'm going and he crys for me. I kinda think it's cute but. But man when Andre left, my baby felt it."
"Well of course he is, that's his daddy. He already gonna wanna be up under him. Speaking of that. How is Dre? I talk to his mom every now and then but I barely see him anymore. Is he doing good?"
I nodded my head. "I guess. To be honest he looked better when he came back from then when he left. We're going to try to make it work. Not for us but for Kyren."
"You should. I wish I could have did the same with your father but you can't make a man stay where he don't want to. But for you, try, make things work out and maybe before it's over you two will be back together like none of this ever happened."
"Mom." I dragged out.
"What? It's not like you don't want to. Girl you know you love that boy."
"You're right I do but we need a break and I'm not focusing on that right now. You know this."
"Girl you had a long enough brake. Just get back together already. You both are making me sick."
I sighed again. "Mom you won't... you know what? Never mind. How long are you going to be here?"
"Why? You tired of me already."
"No it's just you've been here for about a week already and don't you think Shawn misses you?"
She gave me a look that let me know that she was on to me.
"Well since you're tired of me already Im about to head to the store. You want something?"
"Yeah."
"What?"
"Some privacy."
She jumped at me making me stumble back. She laughed on her way out the door.
Before I said something smart back my phone rung. I looked at it and saw it was a facetime from Andre.
I fixed my hair and checked my face before answering the call.
"Hey." I gave him a small smile.
"Wassup baby. How you doing?"
"Good, you?"
"Better now. But I just got out of class and got back."
"How was class?"
"Good." He stared at me after answering.
I shift in my position on the couch.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because I want to look at you like that." He smirked.
I rolled my eyes." Whatever. Why did you call anyways again?"
"You must forgot you taking care of my son temporally."
I snapped my head back. What did this nigga just say?
"Exuse me."
"You heard me. You watching my son for me while I'm in school. Don't worry Kyren daddy coming to get you." He yelled to the baby.
When he said that Kyren, who was laying next to me, started moving and squirming as best as he could as if he knew what Andre was saying.
"Whatever. I don't even know why he like you. You're not a likeable person anyways." I joked around.
"You liked me, hell yo ass fell in love with me. So don't even say shit." He joked back.
I smiled thinking about how it was when we were in high school and how he did make me fall in love with him.
"I missed you." I mumbled under my breath hoping he wouldn't hear me but kinda hoping he did.
"I know that baby. I could see it all in your eyes. Plus this ain't nothing new." He gave me his famous smirk.
"Shut up Dre."
"Alright, how my two babies though?"
I picked up my baby sitting him in front of the camera. That's when I saw a smile appear in both of there faces. Kyren trying his best to lift his cheeks.
"Hey lil man. Wassup baby. Daddy misses you." Andre started interacting with Kyren completely forgetting I was there.
Kyren kicked his little legs out listening to his father talk. For him to be so little he sure was acting active today.
For ten whole minutes they just went back and forth with each other. Even though Dre was being annoying and trying to throw shots while talking to Kyren, it was a cute site and I would love to see more of it.
"Daddy loves you baby."
"Say I love you too daddy." I moved his hands towards the camera.
He sucked his teeth. "Look at you. Using my son for an excuse just so you can be nasty with me, talking bout some I love you too daddy." He mocked my words.
I covered Kyrens ears before replying. "Shut the hell up Dre."
"I'm just saying. You tryna get nasty with me. What them six weeks is up already."
Okay now he is just trying to be funny and clown on me.
"If it was you wouldn't be the first one to know."
"You a lie because I would've been had my calendar out right next to me counting down the days."
"Okay Dre, whatever floats your boat."
"Best believe Ima be rocking yours."
I rolled my eyes for the umpteenth time.
There was a knock on the door and I knew it was my mom coming back from the store.
"Hold on my mom is at the door. She asked about you earlier. She might wanna talk to you."
He shook his head fast. "Uh-uh I ain't trying to get cussed out. I'll talk to you later."
I laughed. "You is not about to play my mom like that okay."
"Man yo mom is crazy. I ain't trying to deal with all that. Tell my son I love him and that I'm bout to go to sleep." He laughed with me.
"Whatever I'll talk to you later."
"Alright. Love y'all."
"We love you too."
I hung up answering the door.
"Hey mom."
"Mhm, tired my ass. If Dre don't wanna talk to me then tell him he can kiss my ass. Shit."
She walked in with bags in her hand knocking everything out of her way.
How the hell did she hear that...
